why try and reason with ignorant people who have no common sense and are there just to act a fool and destroy shit. Even Oscar Grants Moms and family was on the news saying these idiots should stop messing with innocent people. It aint helping nothing.
so instead of reasoning you call someone an uneducated crack baby with no goals in life, when you don't even know them. you don't see oscar grant's mom saying that to all the people rioting do you. this is the kinda shit that causes people to shoot people.

really what is that going to accomplish? you're preaching to the wrong people. this is much bigger than the siccness. read my last post

then why isn't this being debated? quit talkin bout it be about it.
if I'm speaking to the wrong people and you're acting like it's pointless... we might as well not even discuss it on here... according to your logic

and as far as other ways to resolve the issue... it has been discussed somewhere to an extent... I admit nothing too groundbreaking or innnovative was talked about... but shit... that doesn't give people the right to act out of anger off top and fuck up INNOCENT PEOPLES shit...

do you guys not see the hypocracy here???

this whole riot is based on the fact that this man was unjustly harmed... he did not deserve to be shot

so people turn around and unjustly harm others... most of it wasn't direct physical harm... but your hurting not only these people... but your community altogether

i dont condone the riots that have and will happen, its fuckin up my city, but instead of preaching to people on a gangsta rap forum where there may be a handful of individuals who either participated or support the riots, why don't you go out there and do something about it. be active. support MY community with whats going on right now. support your own communities to prevent these kind of things from happening in your area. why not donate your time and help these business owners board up windows, or donate a measly $5-$20 to the ones who can't afford to fix the damages. or donate that money to the grant family to help cover out of pocket funeral costs. attend future protests and voice your opinions. talk to the youngsters on the streets about why violence doesn't help the cause. you bitching on a message board to a couple of idiots isn't going to help anything or prevent it from happening again. you're beating a dead horse.
I just read this post now

and I feel you on that

I'll admit I'm not usually proactive when it comes to shit like this... and maybe I should be more

although I don't think there's anything wrong with discussing it on here... it's better than NOTHING... ya know...

i feel you but its already been discussed plenty of times on here already, im seeing the same shit over and over that its wrong to vandalize innocent peoples shit in retaliation to oscar grant's murder, or the big picture as a whole. do we really need 100 posts saying the same shit telling the same 5-10 people who justify the rioting. you telling them that it's wrong is not going to change their mind on how they feel about it. like you said why not discuss ways to resolve the issue instead. if we spent as much time on that as we do trying to preach violence is not the answer we might find something ground breaking or innovative.

I agree... the debating back and forth is getting repetetive...

And to be honest... I'm not sure exactly what the answer is

I'll think about it some more and get back to you... haha

I respect what you're sayin though, you bring up a good point

Violence as a way of achieving racial justice is both impractical and immoral. It is impractical because it is a descending spiral ending in destruction for all. The old law of an eye for an eye leaves everybody blind. It is immoral because it seeks to humiliate the opponent rather than win his understanding; it seeks to annihilate rather than to convert. Violence is immoral because it thrives on hatred rather than love. It destroys a community and makes brotherhood impossible. It leaves society in monologue rather than dialogue. Violence ends by defeating itself. It creates bitterness in the survivors and brutality in the destroyers.
