Seriously Justin Timberlake must be at a low point in his career to do a song with Nelly.

Eminem said it best on White America.

"When I was underground, no one gave a fuck I was white
No labels wanted to sign me, almost gave up I was like
Fuck it - until I met Dre, the only one to look past
Gave me a chance and I lit a FIRE up under his ass
Helped him get back to the top, every fan black that I got
was probably his in exchange for every white fan that he's got Like damn; we just swapped - sittin back lookin at shit, wow
I'm like my skin is it startin to work to my benefit now?"

It's backwards in this situation but if you got any sense you know what the fuck i'm tryning to get at.

Now about hearing this song. I'm going to take a wild stab and say it's going to be nelly's next single since he already has one. He couldn't come out with this first. He would lose too much respect. And if he doesn't make this his next single he'd be a dumbfuck because it would be on TRL for weeks.

Nelly has outsold most rappers that have ever come out. People seem to forget that putting out albums is a BUSINESS. The point is to generate profits. While the suckas are busy hating on him and calling him a faggot or sellout, he is busy admiring the 8x platinum plaque on his wall off his first album and probably living the way most people dream of. Like his music or not, you have to respect his hustle.

Same with Justin Timberlake, who isn't exactly some talentless clown.

Art and Business.... Art and Business...

When Nelly made his 1st solo album... He never thought he would go 8x platinum... This cat was broke... Going gold would of made him happy... He made his 1st album from the heart... and was rewarded...

Artist need to look at thier work as art... and after they finished their art... they need to turn into a business men and try to sell thier art...

There's plenty of underground rap music out there so it's not like you are limited to commercially successful stuff only. Nobody has ever forced you to buy a Nelly cd. If you don't like the music, don't buy it.

About Timberlake.... I can tell you right now that the cat puts in his work. You don't achieve that level of success and maintain it by being some lazy no-talent chump. I'm not all in dudes business but from what I've seen, he's earned every bit of his success.

Mannn all these cats like Em, Nelly, Ja'Rule, DMX are all pop and just sell songs 2 females and motha fuckas who like radio style songs
Yeah.....so what? Does it make them any better than the mutha fucka who 'keeps it real' and sticks with his little underground bullshit? No...but does it make them any worse? No.

Who gives a fuck if people make music specifically with the intent to become a commercial success? You cats act like it's some kind of crime to approach making records like it's an actual fuckin business man. Lighten up... Music is certainly to some degree a form of art and expression as well a form of entertainment. Like that fact or not, that's how it is. And like it or not, popularity & commercial success is what has enabled rap to last this long in the first place. That doesn't just apply to rap either, it can be said about any genre of music.
