thats really a shame cuz his new one easily outshines anything "gangsta" thats been put out recently. just check out the song pimp juice. AT LEAST BUMP THAT SHIT ONCE!!! what are you afraid of? losing "street cred"? those boys are spittin real life and if you cant relate to at least some of that shit you shouldnt be listening to rap in the first place. I mean, is that what gangsta rap does for yall? make you think life is about thuggin and shit? you think youre harder cuz no ones heard of the shit youre riding to? youve got a problem if listening to a certain kind of music makes you feel weak. im not sayin ill ride down the block bangin some britney spears, but god damn. i can listen to nelly (not every day, dont get me wrong) but i can listen to his music and tell he loves doing what he does. you have to respect that.
am i one of the only one's on here who think its a good idea for both of em? they go quadrupal platinum everytime out the gate on a solo tip so coming together is gonna be a sick ass track. it aint like nelly is in wutang clan or somethin. he a pop rapper and him and justin together takes no credibility away from either of them... thats like saying jay-z was a busta for gettin down with r kelly, they both made 50 mill each from that shit, and like it or not, thats really the name of the game...
People are just jealous that they don't have the look and voice that Nelly and JT possess. These two artist have it all. Shit if you asked me they have what it takes to make it real big. I'm not going to lie, Nelly's very first album is a classic. He did it real big! There is a slim chance for artist to debut platinum on his/her first album. You have to give credit to the both of them. They're doing their thangs. Shit if you was in a club you would still be dancing to Nelly shit. The man knows how to make hit music for our daily ears. Quit the hating! Enjoy the music and be more open-minded.
I know this thread is old, but someone brought it back up....
Nelly is NOT an artist that i particulary like, but i respect the man as a business man and for the music he does make....He's not trying to be hard like some of these other artists out here(and most of them are just portraying an image)..he is just doing what he is good at, and a lot of that is making dance music...I bet if Nelly tried to be hard and "gangsta" then alot of you would clown him either way...People act like if you're a black artists, you betta be "gansta," and if you're not then you sold out....lol
change your way of thinking..we already have enough so-called "gangsta" rappers in the world, we really dont need Nelly to convert too....Busta aint "gangsta" and he doesnt make "gangsta" music, but he is a respected artist..as long as you stay true to your craft and your heart, then everything should be coo..some people are gonna "hate" your music regardless who you are or how tight it is...
and Justin does have talent...if you say Justin dont then you might as well say Usher doesnt as well, because both have very similar music styles...
