As far as my own rap career goes, I'm not 27 years old. Many years ahead. And I'd really like to think that if i was going to brag about getting to throw "the biggest hip hop show/party [in my city] EVER", I'd at least have someone on the card that has more than 217 fans.

Oklahoma is right next to Texas. I'm sure that many OK rap shows feature big name TX artists. I am also sure that any rapper who makes it big in OK must also be able to make it big in TX. There are no famous OK artists. Big name TX artists undoubtedly outsell OK artists in their own state. Any OK artist who wants to make money needs to go to TX, and any OK artist who needs to prove he has made it needs to be able to bring back and do big shows with TX artists.

What are you anyways, some kind of fuckin' retard? TX is the 600lb Gorilla of the South, and OK is TX's bitch. They run shit. You cannot run a big show in Oklahoma without some major Texas acts. Without them, your show is mediocre at best. You can't even talk about Oklahoma rap without bringing up Texas. To not do so would be just plain ignorant, especially in the context of "making moves".

I made a smart-assed comment, and made fun of myself in the same paragraph. It could have gone either way. You could have told a funny joke, perhaps brushed me off with a snide comment; or you could have monologued and whined. -- You chose to monologue and whine. Not my fault.


Really though, friend, Let's make 2 threads of this. One in the southern forum: "Can Oklahoma rappers throw truly big shows without big-name Texas artists?", and another either right here or in the Open Forum: "Is there anything wrong with rapping to make spare money, or are you REQUIRED to try to be Hollywood, get distro, work with big-name artists, and so on?"
