Wait for Hippo to open his big mouth. When he opens it then give him a fast face jab (in the mouth) followed by eight body punches. Then wait again for Hippo`s mouth to open and repeat that standard Hippo routine untill the Tropical Chief goes down.
As he is that fat he will not get up again and you win by Mario`s count to 10 (KO!).
When you manage to hit him ultra-fast in his opening mouth then you can deliver 9 instead of 8 belly punches. You need this to get record times of under 0:40 R1 as you can finish King Hippo this way with only 3 instead of the usually needed 4 routines !!!
Before King Hippo opens his big mouth he shivers to indicate that move, so watch his body. Dodge his other punches untill he shivers than do the routine.
When Mac rans out of hearts then watch out for the King`s gravedigger punches! It is strongly recommended to dodge these power punches to get some hearts back.
yea i beat tyson..finally handled him like 2 days ago..they all just have cycles of moves they do..when u figure it out its easy...and the only reason i couldnt beat hippo was cuz theres only ONE WAY to beat him and obviously as this thread stated i couldnt remember what that was..when dude laid down the info for me i beat dude 1 minute into the 1st round...unchout is the shit..i recomend smokin heavy than hopping on and playin that shit at least 30minutes str8..youll become a master
