yeah I'm sure it has nothing do with the fact he's moved up in weight and the guys he's fought haven't been KO'd before and all have great chins. (Joshua Clottey, Mosley, Marquez, Bradley). The lone exception was Margarito but Pacquiao destroyed his face. Mosley also can't remember 4 rounds of the fight after being knocked down for only the second time in his entire career (a bigger canelo couldn't even knock him down after the manny fight).

Rios: Pacquiao Picked Me Because I Lost, Big Mistake!

By Edward Chaykovsky

Junior welterweight contender Brandon Rios (31-1-1, 23KOs) says eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao (54-5-2, 38KOs) made a big mistake in selecting him as a comeback opponent. The match is scheduled for November 23rd in Macau, China.

Rios believes Pacquiao selected him because of his last fight, a twelve round decision loss to Mike Alvarado. Pacquiao comes back from a brutal knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez last December.

“He picked me because I lost. They probably think. ‘Brandon is easy to hit. Brandon gets hit all the time.’ (But) it’s a very different story when you get in the ring with me. I’ve been waiting for this fight all my life. They made a mistake picking me,” Rios told Ron Borges.

“This is my chance to show what I can do with a great fighter in front of me. I gotta come out in a smarter way. I’ve got to fight different than I usually do because Pacquiao can hurt you. He’s got a good knockout percentage. When I’m inside the pocket (at close quarters), that’s my game. I can fight very well. I’ve proven it.”

Roach Smiles: Pacquiao Will Get Payback For Me, KO Rios

By Edward Chaykovsky

Trainer Freddie Roach expects Manny Pacquiao (54-5-2, 38KOs) to get revenge for him on November 23rd in Macau, China. Pacquiao will face Brandon Rios (31-1-1, 23KOs).

Before Pacquiao's match with Antonio Margarito at Cowboys Stadium in 2010, a video surfaced on the internet where Margarito and Rios were making fun of Roach's ongoing physical struggles with Parkinson’s disease. Roach says Pacquiao will punish and knock Rios out.

“Rios is not difficult to figure out,” Roach said to Ron Borges. “He wants to throw punches and when you do that you get hit. He’s very hittable, more hittable than Avarado. Manny will knock him out and I’ll be happy to see it. They can do what they want but that video was an embarrassment to them. [The video] bothered a lot of people. I won’t lie to you. It bothered me too. It still bothers me. This fight is going to be great payback.”

A guy that threw three punches all fight Clottey.
A 39 yrs old gun shy Mosley after Mayweather beat him up.
A 140lber with no power in Bradley.
Other 39 yrs old 140over in Marquez.

Yep, Manny was fighting nothing but hard fights and the best. Lol.. No PED = no more Manny punching power.

All guys that have never been KOd in their lives just like I said. Clottey just blocked, not sure what else Pac could do there. After Shane got knocked down he wouldn't engage. And if Bradley fough Pac the same way he fought Ruslan he wouldn't have survived.

Marquez was a beast at 38, you seen it. Despite that Manny hurt him too amd bloodied him up before the KO. it was a war.

And for Clottey only throwing "3" punches, he marked Pac's face up more than anyone had in a long time. When he landed, he landed clean but he is notorious for not throwing enough punches. He had Cotto with a fillet of an eyebrow and still let him off the hook even with Cotto's back against the ropes half the damn night. He never let his hands go.

B @bigface what about Margarito.....??

why Floyd never fought him?
Why do people keep bringing up Margarito when it comes to Floyd...Margarito was ALWAYS a bum in regards to fighting Floyd...the later version of Dela Hoya that Floyd fought was better than ANY version of Margarito...If Margarito had been the one to go up to 154 and challenge Oscar he would have gotten blown out...by Oscar's speed...his jab...his left hook...and his boxing ability.

For the same reason Pac can't have a fight and Floyd fans can't help but bring up Floyd and what he has done or would do......

I mean let's be real, Both Pac and Floyd needed to fight eachother. I wish they still would even though they are both clearly out of their prime, but because they didn't fight fans are always gonna compare the two.

Because Mayweather left Top Rank to win the lineal title at 147lb, then fought Oscar for $30 million and Margarito got his ass beat by Paul Williams 5 months later. Question when did Manny fight Margarito after the Cotto win or after Mosley knocked his fake ass out? Please list one big win that Margarito had without his handwraps?? I'll be waiting to hear your answers. Lol..

All I'm saying is why bring up Margarito...he doesn't even have a signature punch...Dela Hoya left hook, Pacquiao straight left, Floyd lead right, Cotto left hook (body), Shane left hook and straight right, Corrales left hook etc. Margarito is just like Garerrero...no signature punch...you just got through watching Guerrero/ Margario vs Maywether...case closed.

I feel you........I guess it makes even less sense to me that Mayweather didn't fight Margarito because that would have drawn much bigger PPV at the time than this last fight with Guerrero.

I am not saying Margarito would have beaten Mayweather, I don't think he would have, but Pac did fight him. And many thought he was gonna lose because of size differential and Margarito's "toughness"

From my understanding Mayweather's first fight where he cracked the 1 mill pvp buy was on the B side of the Oscar vs Floyd fight...he didn't reach it with Gatti or Hatton so how would he have done better with Margarito than with Guerrero which has been reported as over 1 million? What point does Marg make for any type of argument to levy against Floyd...he just fought a better version of the same fighter who is 6 years younger than Floyd himself. I can imagine Guerrero going out the same way Marg did against Shane...and I can imagine probably Guerrero doggin' Cotto with pressure the same way Marg did it.

Margarito doesn't even matter. He was on quite a bit of a terror at one point but that was probably because he was cheating. Its good Floyd didn't fight him. I'm glad Pacquiao destroyed his face and basically ended his career. He was a scum bag. Good riddance. He's not worth our discussions anymore knowing what we know now.

Paul Williams exposed him, Mosley broke his chin and KO'ed him, and Manny beat his face in, and Cotto ended his career. Margarito was a cheating bum. This guy made a name for himself by calling out Floyd after Top Rank already knew Mayweather was leaving the company. Top Rank and GBP hasn't co-promote an event since Mosley beat Margarito's ass.

Actually Williams didn't expose him. His high work rate gave Williams a big lead but Margarito came on strong and rocked/hurt Williams a couple times late. Amazing chin Williams had being thst its possible Margs had loaded gloves.

Nazzim exposed him. Hes the onethat caught him.

And yes pacquiao killed his career. His eye was destroyed and it took bob arum paying a ton of momey to get him medically cleared. Cotto touched his eye and it was already swollen after two rounds. That's a direct result from the shattered orbital bone.
