Well, at least we know this will be full of action.

Obviously Pac should wipe the floor with him David Diaz style but sometimes you just never know how a man will come back after being put to sleep. Everyone thought Glen Johnson was an easy come back fight for Roy Jones after getting KOd by Tarver and he got stretched.

I'm pretty excited about what the future of boxing could be like with China getting more and more involved. Such a huge market and so many damn people you know there are some hidden gems and potential stars. China the past couple Olympics has really beefed up their boxing program, won gold, silver and bronze medals...will be very interesting these upcoming years.

Like I said before, if Alvarado was able to outbox Rios, anyone with any type of decent boxing ability and chin should destroy Rios. Remains to be seen tho if Rios is any good at 147. Maybe he'll be beastin! I would've like to see him fight Provodinikov and then the winner fights Pac but it is what it is. I imagine this crowd will be insane for this fight. Should be a nice matchup while it lasts

The difference is Alvarado realized he couldbt go toe to toe with Rios and changed his game plan and boxed and moved ala Rigo, Martinez, & Floyd which was very smart. However Manny wont try to out box him and will go toe to toe with him and thats why I think Manny will get ko's. Rios has a much better chin than Manny and by trading blows Manny will get put to sleep yet again. Got Em!!

Manny didn't fight Margarito toe to toe and out boxed him. Rios is similar a bit in that he'll keep coming forward and keep eating shots. Would be wise if Pacquiao uses a similar strategy. If Pac uses his feet and moves in and out his speed will be too much for Rios to handle.

Always gotta wonder about that first shot he takes though, everyone reacts different mentally. Matthew Macklin is a guy who comes to mind who not long ago was put to sleep face first like Manny was but went on to have impressive wins, most notably Felix Sturm (well he was robbed in Germany but clearly won).

If Rois' chin holds up...and he can wheel and deal...then the issue may come down to a battle of attrition...which Manny has had trouble with. He doesn't train hard enough and always underestimates the situation no matter how great and urgent it is...his mental lapses are alarming...good chance he doesn't take Rios seriously the same mistake he made with Bradly and Marquez 3...however he looked damn good in Marquez 4...but what would have happened had he made it to the 7th round in that fight...would he have had a stamina issue...calf issue...then Marquez might have seized another momentum shift and KOd Manny in a later round. After all Manny was working hard in the 6th round he might have gassed himself out in the middle of the 7th had it made it that far.

Yea u got a point I forgot about that fight. Im sso used to Manny just chuckin em and for some reason I think that what he will do here. However after that KO he might be smart and may use a similar strategy like he did vs Margarito. He better because again i dont think he can win a brawl against Rios. Chin is to good in my opinion. Got Em!!

I'm a huge Rios fan, but he took this fight really early in his career. Manny is the best p4p in my eyes, and will train harder than ever before, like JMM, and will seem unstoppable in this fight. people act like Manny don't knock fools out just because he ate it last time. he knock fools out more often than Floyd does, shit

I can't believe how some people are even debating this.
Arum took the biggest name that Manny would have a field day with, and that was Rios.
I'd be surprised if Rios was anything less than a 5-1 underdog.

He lost to Abril as well as Alvarado.
What the hell do you expect Manny to do to him?

Arum is an asshole.

Kinda think team Pacquiao is doing testing cause they hope for a Mayweather fight but that boat may have sailed. Either that or because Rios is working with Memo who works with Marquez.

Pacquiao vs. Rios To Have USADA Drug Testing

Michael Koncz, adviser to eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao, has exclusively confirmed to BoxingScene.com that USADA [US Anti-Doping Agency] will regulate a random drug testing protocol for the upcoming fight with Brandon Rios, scheduled to take place on November 24th [November 23rd in the United States] at the Venetian in Macau, China. Pacquiao (54-5-2, 38KOs) vs. Rios (31-1-1, 23KOs) will be carried by HBO Pay-Per-View

I think it's a brave but stupid fight to take after what happened to pacquiao in his last fight. Yes he SHOULD win with his speed, power and boxing skills but I think the non-stop onslaught that rios will come with will bring the brawler out of pacquiao and we might end up seeing him take another mat nap...

no rios will take a pounding, a come forward fighter that takes alot of shots and zero defense will play into manny's hands. he hits hard and has a solid chin but he's never been hit by a true w.w. u forget that rios has been in a smaller weight class his whole carrer and now is moving up. manny by late stoppage...
