It's pretty funny how after Mayweather asked Manny for random testing in 2010, Manny hasn't KO'ed anyone and all these leg cramps every fight. But let's just act like I haven't been saying this very thing for three years now. Too funny.
marquez was fuckin huge when they fought. dont act like u didnt see how big that mutherfucker was.

For some reason this just dawned on me today and I'm sure somebody has said it but, If Marquez was willing to go before the world and drink his own piss for an edge (and lost horribly to Mayweather and lost again to Pacquiao) it's definitely believable that he would use illegal substances to gain an edge. Obviously the fact that he's crazy muscular now too doesn't help.

Marquez didn't actually lose to Manny but I get ur point. Boxing can be so full of shit Marquez may have been pushed to cheat all I know is Manny hasn't tested since the first Morales fight and sure has gotten a lot stronger since then

T-Rip when you say Pac hasn't been tested since the first Morales fight either that's a typo or just flat out wrong. He's been tested every fight and passed them all. Granted he never did Olympic style testing but he did the standard testing for combat sports. Nevada also randomly surprised tested Pac a few times over the years as well.

Pacquiao looked malnourished at 126lbs though man. I'm pretty sure he didn't have a strength and conditioning coach back then either. He wasn't a p4p fighter and a lot of fighters don't employ a strength coach until they are the elite of the elite. Some dudes go their whole careers without a nutritionist, some go get them and it helps. But Marquez at 37 years old went from looking kinda pudgy for a couple years to buff and not only knocked Pacquiao down for the first time, he knocked him smooth out. Pac was steamrolling a bunch of dudes at least up til the fight with Morales

I'm not saying Marquez didn't do it clean, cuz I do believe extreme hard work with the right diet, suppliments etc, and it can be done. but no doubt it was a bit shocking to see the transformation. Also he knocked down Pac with the same hook he landed a million times before and Pac landed flat on his back. Whatever Marquez did he was a monster. Like Chael Sonnen said, "Looked like Marquez went through a second puberty at 39" lol

I believe in hard work too but I also believe that Marquez was always in crazy good shape and never really faded in fights that I could remember, even with a badly broken nose early in a fight which is astounding. Maybe it was something with Pac in reality. He hadn't been dropped for real in longer than most of us even remember against some great fighters even when Marquez caught him with that great left hook he never saw coming on the point of the chin in the 2nd fight. He dropped like a sack of potatoes with the first knockdown and obviously out with the 2nd. Either way, Marquez's body never looked that ripped after moving up from 126 until this fight.

Well if Marquez was on juice ultimately it's team Pacs fault in the sense they could have been doing the random testing years ago. What's weird though is that when the pictures of a beastly Marquez started to appear in training, Roach and supposedly Pac wanted additional drug testing. Memo and Marquez said lets do it, but Bob Arum shot it down and said no way.

Number of things come to mind. One - he's too jewish to pay for it. Two - he was worried someone might test dirty, ruining his big event. Three - didn't want to "give in" and make Floyd look right all long.

Whatever it was it was for his selfish reasons imo.

Pacquiao-Arum tandem could break all pay-per-view records

The upcoming fight between eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao and former WBA lightweight champion Brandon Rios in Macau, China, could eclipse all past pay-per-view (PPV) records in boxing history.
The fight, scheduled for Nov. 24, targets the huge Chinese market as well as the regular PPV market in the US.

Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum, who owns Top Rank Promotions of the US, has been successful in breaking into the huge Chinese market with his initial venture featuring the professional boxing debut of Zou Shiming, China's most popular amateur boxer and Olympic gold medalist.

Shiming fought Mexican Eleazar Valenzuela last April 6 in Macau, winning his first fight as a professional boxer via a unanimous decision. The weekend event also featured former WBA flyweight champion Brian Viloria vs. Juan Francisco Estrada in the main undercard.
The initial success of Arum's market debut in China, must have pushed the Hall of Fame promoter to further explore what appears to be the world's biggest market for sports, particularly boxing.

On Nov.24, Arum will validate his initial success story in China with a powerhouse show featuring the world's most popular boxer, Manny Pacquiao, who will face a top fighter Brandon Rios. The main event will be supported by a powerhouse undercard, featuring the Penalosa brothers of the Philippines.

The 81-year-old boxing promoter could be looking at the growth of smartphones and tablets ownership in China which has reportedly surpassed the US figures. Tempo reported that "China has surpassed the US as the leading smartphone market this year with an estimated 250 million active accounts."
Assuming Arum gets 20 percent of the number, he could end up with 50 million subscribers and assuming further that he charges only $5.00 each, he could make $250 million in revenues from the fight.
This figure is unprecedented in boxing history. The biggest figure for a PPV fight was recorded in 2007 in a fight between Floyd Mayweather vs.Oscar de la Hoya which generated just about 2.4 million buys for revenue of $130 million.

Even if Arum gets just a little over 10 percent of the number of smartphones and tablets holders, he still ends up surpassing the the Mayweather- dela Hoya number without even counting the PPV proceeds for the US sales.
If these figures are validated on November 24, Pacquiao will have his biggest payday in his entire career. There are reports that Arum will guarantee Pacquaio his usual fee which is in the vicinity of $20-$30 million. But his share in the PPV proceeds will most likely be more than double his guaranteed purse, making him this year's world's highest paid athlete.

To drum up the promotions for the fight, Arum is starting early in July to sell the Macau fight to potential ppv buyers in China and in the US.
A three city tour has been scheduled in China to include Beijing,Shanghai and Guangzhou while a similar tour will take place later in the US mainland.

How is he getting raped? he's not promoting himself, he's under a contract with a company so that's on manny, not Arum. Plus, it's saying Manny will be the highest paid athlete this year, so what's the problem? He's making money and everyone invilved is making money, not like with Mayweather where people get worried that noone else makes money but mayweather. You know Shosprts is pissed

lmao manny has to go fight in china to make his jew pig of a boss more $$$ and he still won't make more than mayweather this year smh...
Its actually pretty damn genius. I mean if top rank can double or triple the income for a come back fight then why the hell not?

Plus, as I said before tapping into the Chinese market is great for boxing. If only a small percentage of China becomes boxing fans that means millions of more fans interested in boxing. This is a very positive thing. This means more and more Chinese fighters will turn pro and without a doubt there are some hidden gems with massive star potential.

We all agree Arum is greedy but this is great for boxing.

You're crazy if you think this isn't good for boxing. Yao Ming made the all star game in a year he didn't even play because of Chinese votes man. Only thing that sucks about this is, Macau is bigger than Vegas and if these fights start turning huge revenue over there, you just won't be able to fly to Vegas to catch a fight for big fights if the fighters are willing to go there. On the flipside, you gotta think this gives Rios even less of a chance to win but at least he's probably getting a grip to go there

I meant the taxing flight to the other side of the world. Manny is used to it but also has the shorter flight to China from the Philippines. Boxers always swear it won't bother them, then it's one of the first excuses out of their mouths when they lose. Also if this fight is going to be in the morning to be live here in the U.S., I bet that takes a toll on Rios especially.

It just depends on when Rios arrives in China.

Ali used to fight all over the world - Africa, Philippines, Germany (2 times), Puerto Rico, Malaysia, Indonesia, Ireland, Canada (2 times), Japan, Switzerland, and London (3 times).

If you train properly, arrive a week or so before the fight its no big deal.
