I've heard more then Speed Kills. There was a track or two that was cool but overall it was weak IMO. Ren was the only member that showed any signs of potential & I wasn't very impressed with his shit either. The other members didn't stand a chance. I remember hearing a line where on one of them songs when I heard someone say "ripgut". LOL!! Come on now. That's some shit I've only heard Lynch say. it aint nothin special, it dont compare to the way he was dumpin on Paper Route. if u liked Point Blank Game then u might like it.........
theres only been a couple stockton artists that had the potential to be up there, and i don tmean they was hella raw (cus thats thru th eeye of the beholder but i mean had a table and food but they just didnt sit down and eat............cats had deals but didnt parlay them.........
Diz - when he was with Militia, him and the other dude made "Burn". that song got stupid big then they made like 2 remixes, video was on MTV. i dont know what happened but Diz was up there back in '97/'98........
C.O.P.S. - when they was signed to Sony back around '98. Mike D was recording and mixing in million dollar studios.They got a beat from Roger (Zapp), that was oppertunity. dont know what happened, always wanted to ask him but never did..........

my boy Teak and his brother Dee produced a couple songs on Ice Cubes last album, did 5 or 6 on WC's last album and did a few on Ice Cubes new album droppin soon. and i dont mean did a track for them but aint ever gonna be heard, i mean on the album............
too many stockton cats say there gonna blow up but aint even did a quarter of what C.O.P.S. did, C.O.P.S. didnt even drop nothing on Sony............
H.C.U. was never nothin "big" put i remember back in the day at Mike D's house up north, they had a copy on the wall of some record store in chicago that had the top selling albums that week. H.C.U. sold more at that store than Da Brat and E-40..........
cats nowadays aint doin nothin like that...........
and thats when you had a lot to lose cus songs costed alot of money to record, alot to mix, and alot to master..........

He said they would always release their mediocre stuff & keep the heat. Didn't know they had a Sony deal that didn't work out. That would of been huge for Stockton.
My girl use 2 work @ a halfway house hella years ago & said that one of the dudes from Malitia was in there. I didn't know any members from that group was from Stockton until my cousin Lamar told me that he was up in county with one of them back in the 90's. They had a lot of comercial success with "Burn" but overall them fools were weak & so was that album.

when they was at SMG studio back in the day recording the H.C.U. album, Master P was there recordin and Master P wanted to fuck with Mike D on the beats but they never connected cus the SMG/ H.C.U. deal went all bad and they never went back after the album was recorded, i think they recorded that album in a couple days.........shit i think it was Trell Mix a few years back who was tellin me and my dude from Camp Crisis that he was playin some Mike D beats for Keak Da Sneak and he was lovin'em, this was back in like 2000, Mike D got talent as a producer, i dont know why he aint doin it big.......
but real shit, the one that could honestly blow, im talkin lyrics, delivery, looks, is X-Stacy.........she's with Hallway Productionz, and she got the connections cus of Teak and Dee.she in my opinion is one of the best artists in northern california.she needs to drop somethin.............she reminds me of Trina, but a better rapper and she dont look like a runner.........

Good looking on that D-Cal cover. Never seen it before.
Too bad though. Crazy 8 & D-Cal were a good ass combo. Not just as duo but even if D-Cal wanted to release another solo with 8 on the beats it would of went hard. D-Cal is the best rapper I heard up out of Stockton & 8 was a hella tight ass producer either though he sampled a lot. I always wondered why more people didn't come to him for beats.
And Paper Route was like Odd Sqauds cd on Rap A Lot. A wasted classic. Paper Route had mainstream appeal & it went nowhere. Hell, I dpnt even remember seeing them even mentioned in Murder Dog.
