^^^exactly
what pisses me off is, people are killin people on the radio and in video songs, but when people in the bay do it, it don't get played on the radio!
I live in NY right now, i play shit from the bay, and they say it's too gangsta for them, i think it's because they believe the bay cats will actually do it! They don't believe that the mainstream artists will actually kill anyone.
I'm tired of hearing why the bay ain't blowin up. Only one person hit it on the head to me, the quality ain't good, but the buisness is even worse!!!!! put out a video and advertise in more places than murder dog, the siccness and xplosive!

Well put,
everybody talks about the same stuff but theres gotta be something that separates one from the rest of the pack, thats what A&Rs look for when scouting for new talent.
alot of it is how someone looks, carisma, and just putting a new twist on things.
Few artists do that even in the mainstream and the ones who don't cut it become one hit wonders on the radio. EX you got you Eminems, 50s, Nellys etc then you got other cats who will eventually fade away.
The bay is the same way, check how long those "where are they now threads" are. There are few cats who stand out of the pack in a market that is flooded with alot of bullshit.
New York cats have alot of pull in the rap game and the big players conscistantly drop hits, of course the radio are gonna play em out. but for every Jay Z, Puffy, 50 Cent etc there are a thousand weak acts flooding their market as well. Same Goes for Detroit, Atlanta, New Orleans etc.
Another thing is all the hot citys have a powerhouse label or 2 backing them up getting their acts on the radio NY-Jay Z, Puffy ATL Dupree, Lil John New Orleans-Master P, Baby
It may be just me but I think the Bay needs that to get the pull they want.
