For a couple of seasons in the late 90's, I'd have to say Portland(when they had Anderson, Wells, Pippen, Wallace), then in the 00-01 season and after I'd say the Kings.
It has to be the kings because there were more energy and hatred in those games than between the lakers and the spurs... Even though the kings never did win it was still a bigger rivalry than lakers/spurs which was pretty even .
to corect you when they was moing down everyone,..we was the only team to beat tem,....i think it was a game 3 or something,...peep the records,...and go kings,....

I'm not sure which year you're talking about but if you're talking about the one where they went 15-1 in the playoffs, they swept the kings that year and lost game one to the sixers and then won 4 straight. And by win I meant a series not a single game because I really loved the Western Conference Finals series that went to game 7 OT.
I think you need more than one year to consider teams rivals. Otherwise every team faced in the playoffs would be rivals but Lakers/Suns are getting there especially if there will continue to be some controversial games and calls.
Well controversy always gets players riled up and angry at refs, opposition, etc. The more anger the more chance of words being exchanged. Who was that that Nash kept getting mad at...?
The saktown kings in my opinion .........it remminds me of the DODGERS & giants ............ Northen and Southern cali ..........U know the rivalry.......But then again spurs and lakers have had some crazy azz games VS each other
