lmao, yet ... throughout all these complaints and dislikes - KMEL remains the number one radio station in the area ... regardless of all your likes and dislikes, OBVIOUSLY somebody likes it, OBVIOUSLY sooomebody doesn't have a problem tunning in. without clear channel and/or kmel ... there wouldn't be a hyphy movement, there wouldn't be a siccness - it's not clear channels or kmel's fault that nobody was requestin mac dre until the man got killed, and trust me ... i know what and what wasn't being requested during his time frame.

^^^^^^people never requested it because the real fans had his albums so there was no need to call in to request a song when you can hear it anytime you want.
People who request songs are kids who don't do not own any Mac Dre albums.

So riddle me this... because of the Summer Jam incident KMEL blackballed Bay Artist? KMEL didnt have the guts to come out and say 'FUCK THESE ARTIST' so the lame excuse was this "THE BAY AINT PUTTIN OUT QUALITY MUSIC!"
Okay, fine & dandy. But somehow Bay music had enough quality to be played late at night and on mixshows?? MAKES NO SENSE.
But Dre dropped heat before that. Rapper Gone Bad could've been on the playlist and so could a countless number of other songs.

Everytime I see a KMEL street team or their DJ's it confirms the notion that some of you cats got in thru a side entrance. If a cat aint spinned no records at a house party in the hood...He's only a corporate DJ.

I cant believe some of yall actually believe request mean anything LOL. Why is the top "requested" songs the same shit in different order on KMEL and 94.9 and every damn station across the country? Ever tried calling the radio? The shit is always busy. Its damn near impossible to get through. You have to be a young ass kid or a idiot to sit there and press re-dial on your phone for 30 mins just to request ONE song. The phone is off the hook.
