Allen Iverson won't opt out of his contract with the Denver Nuggets, his agent told The Rocky Mountain News.

"Things have gone well for him [in Denver]," agent Leon Rose was quoted as saying of Iverson, who is due to make $20.84 million next year. 'He's looking forward to taking the team [further]."

Iverson had a contract that would have left him the option of opting out of his deal after the season and becoming a free agent.

Instead, he will be with the Nuggets in their bid to qualify for the playoffs for the third time in his first three seasons.

Rose said Iverson was excited about the team's prospects and was looking forward to finishing his career in Denver.

Iverson, 33, was traded to Denver from the Philadelphia 76ers in 2006 in a nasty separation with the team that made him the No. 1 overall draft pick and a worldwide superstar.

Iverson ranked third in the league in scoring in 2007-08, with 26.4 points per game.

AI is prolly one of the only fearless soldiers left on the court. he's so fucking good and he deserves that ring. they just need a guy in there that knows defense and then they need a motivator for the flashy guys to devote them selves on the D end.hopefully denver makes the moves they need to to give AI his ring

the thing with AI is that he wants to play 48 minutes a game. and if you don't play him for the whole game, he gets upset. He did this shit with george karl. Its apparent he is only playing for the 21 million a year, and not for a ring. Stevie Wonder can see Denver has no heart, and they all have they own agenda. is it just me or is Carmello weak all of a sudden?
Could he play with Lebron? Yes, but he has to have in his mind to win a ring, and play together, and know that this is Lebron's team. Lebron does need help asap. Cuz his team is ass too. AI is one of my favorite players of all time, this nigga will play with a broken finger, injuries, he don't care.

YEAH CARMELO IS PLAYIN LIKE A WEENIE LATELY. I CANT PICK NO OTHER TEAM FOR A.I. TO BE ON CUZ ALL THE CONTENDERS ARE SET WIT A PG THEY COMFORTABLE WIT.....EVEN BOSTON. RONDO PLAYED HIS POSITION. DENVER NEEDS TO SEIZE THE OPPORTUNITY AND GET PLAYERS IN THERE FAST CUZ THE DONT GOT IT WITH WHAT THY GOT. A.I. IS GONNA BE STUCK AND START OR BE A ROLL PLAYER WHICH HE WONT

The Pistons were reportedly trying to offer up Chauncey Billups and Tayshaun Prince in order to attain Carmelo Anthony.

The Nuggets weren't interested, and came back with a counter offer of guess who...

Allen Iverson and Marcus Camby.

That title had me crackin' up... "Nugget" takes me back to middle-school.

Anyway, as long as their "star" is Carmelo, they won't be getting anywhere. Good luck to 'em though... The Lakers shoulda just let the Nuggets beat them instead of getting embarrassed in the finals like they did.

which is why, I mean, you know Melo averaged more PPG than AI did throughout the entire season. I think third or 4th in the NBA. But Iverson was just behind him.

Anthony got more years left in him too.

If you owned an NBA team and had the opportunity to get either AI or Anthony for free, it would be a no brain hands down choice for Melo over Iverson.

Joe Dumars said he's not trading for any teams second or third best player. And if that's his mindset and he turns down a trade involving AI, then Joe D obviously doesn't feel Iverson is the Nuggets best player.

Ok homie let me school u real quick!! Every person in the league dont know it all! Just cause he is Dumars, doesnt mean he is always 100 percent right!! If they wanted Melo then the great man shouldve drafted him instead of that scrub Milicic!! 2ndly A.I. is the best player on the Nuggets!! I never said who had more years left fool!! 3rdly if u wanna use scorin as to who was better last year then well use that and y still lose..
