i dont think the hyphy movement is makin the bay look bad....its the best thang goin for northern cali rite now to be put on the map....whats fukin it up is all these rappers jumpin on the bandwagon.....i mean if thats really ur life style when u do ur music its gonna sound good cuz its cumin from u....but if it aint its gonna sound watered down like 90% of that hyphy shit does....rappers out here just need to do them and their music well sound alot better....and well have alot more diversity in our music scene....and ppl wont just think all the bay(northern cali) has to offer is hyphy shit....cuz we realy have alot of talent out here

i can tell hyphy will die soon cuz they're gonna run out of things to say cuz the majority they talk about is thizzing and whatnot..

there's only a few songs i like in that catagory (new oakland, super duper hyphy) but some go overboard w/ the really deep bass n stuff. just my opinion

I know we have more to offer than just hyphy but the rest of the country doesn't know that since all they see or hear is hyphy.

Dont get me wrong Im born and raised in the bay and I love it but for the last few years I aint been feelin the direction of hip hop in the bay. IMO we have severely over saturated any and every aspect of our culture and its slowly destroyin it. Believe it or not the industry has already written off the whole hyphy movement but not the bay in general. We still have listeners out there but they looking for some versatility. I hope we don't find ourselves in another late 90" fumble again and step up and make good music instead of over saturating and recylin the same shit. Just my two cents. Take if how you want. 100

hyphy music was a one trick pony. and I really think FAB and some others are takin it too far on the national level. it's not even fun at parties anymore. everything is interchangable. "punk rock" "nascar" and all these new "movements" are so tacky it's just sad. NY might have chicken noodle soup, nut after hyphy, dumb and retarded we still have a gaggle of terms or dances or movements to just make us look that much more ridiculous. ride the yellow bus .. come on.. actually wearing a helmet on your head?
fuck hyphy puttin the bay on the map; hyphy may have brought revenue to some decent cats, but it did breed an entire generation of 19 year olds with Fruity Loops 6.0 to make myspaces; people like mess, guce, quinn, nickatina, the figz, or the cutthoats woulda been puttin somethin decent out regardless of a movement.

I've been saying 4 tha last few years hoe the entire hyphy shit is coonish, jiggabooish & bafoonish. I grew u fuckin with Bay shit reslly tough but besides Yuk & 40 i haven't bought a current Bay album in ages.

Its true that NY has the Chicken Noodle Soup & the South has crunk & snap music. That shit sounds just as coonish but in a few years the masses are gonna look back & laugh @ that shit too.
