Just out of curiousity, when did people (fans, in particular) concern themselves with an artists' record sales? To me it seems like people determine whether or not they like a rapper based on album sales. If a rapper doesn't sell a certain amount the week of his or her album release, all of the sudden, they've "flopped" or "fallen off". I mean if you like somebody, you like them. Should numbers really matter?

I don't get it.
good post...it was well worth my 15 bucks, i could give a fuck if he sold 100000000, or just the 1 i bought....but it would be nice for 40 to blow the fuck up and get all the sales, he deserves it

People care about their favorite artist sales because they want them to be around to make more albums. The music industry is a business nothing more nothing less. If an artist isn't selling the label will drop them period. I'm not saying 40 will be dropped but you all need to understand that contrary to your beliefs record sales/downloads matter more than anything else in the industry. These are by far 40 worst numbers since b4 being signed to jive. Hopefully he can weather the storm and get back to the 40 we all know and love.

the album wasnt good enough for me to go out and buy, sorry, it just wasnt.

I did buy My Ghetto Report Card and refused to burn any copies for my friends.

Eventually, 40 will see his mainstream success is over, and go back to making music for his fans, and not trying to reach people that give a fuck about him anyway.
u must not have any friends after that! LOL....

Point taken. Thanks for clearing that up.
