Just wondering because I want to buy a new desktop PC.
I just keep hearing bad $hit about 64bit systems. Such as drivers not working. And Quad core CPUs seem to be a bit too ahead of it's time with software not really utilizing it's full potential.
So with that being said, is it FUTURE safe to go with an Intel DualCore2 Duo system and 32bit OS?
I personally don't want to spend that much. Maybe $800 at max for both computer and monitor. I'm not doing nothing too crazy, just making beats as a hobby and internet use.
I currently have an HP Pavilion a1340n:
Pentium 4 640 3.2GHz (800MHZ FSB)
1GB Ram
Would I notice an improvement with that DualCore2 Duo processor, lets say running at 2.66GHz?
