In part Krypticflowz is right. If you weren't home and you were getting robbed, the robber finds the gun and you enter the home, what's most likely going to happen?

although the pics your posted are for the full converision kit....which is a nice but pricey package deal man..you get 3 calibers in 1 gun, the barrel is switchable from .357 to .44. to .50 magnum.....and if you aint never shot a gun before and you shot a .50 eagle...man you better be ready for one HELLUVA KICK..

Try a Taurus (the millenium editions are nice)
http://www.taurususa.com/main/index.cfm

im not a fan of glocks.....but many people are as they are easy to learn and highly accurate and are indestructable damn near..theyve been tested to death (frozen, ran over, dropped, left in mud, underwater etc) and shot fine each time
theres a lotta accessories too, but careful...glock have no safety, theres the glocklock but it takes a key instead of a thumbswitch
http://www.glock.com/

If you wanna get something real nice and reliable (albeit pricey) get yourself an HK (Heckler and Koch)
the USP series is legendary and the Mark 23 was/is used by Navy Seals
http://www.hecklerkoch-usa.com/index.jsp?loc=100&REFID=A0000&SITEID=A

the makarov i have i dont recommend, it was my first gun and i only bought it for the silencer that came with it...its nice (picture tha same one James Bond had) but it feels a little girly to me....

iNFO ON CALIBERS, STOPPING POWER...ETC

MUGG....do me a favor and ask yourself ...
"do I really need a gun"
" can i handle the power/responsibility of owning a firearm(s)"
"why do i need a gun"

its a lotta power in owning a firearms and some poeple cant take it...they get "trigger happy" or feel ike a bigger man owning it.....you seem like a straight cat, but think before you buy man...really.

and never..under any circumstances......ever.....

1. Carry a handgun your not prepared to use

2. "Flash" a strap....dont pull it if your not really gonna use it, if you show it then blow it...never threaten with a gun...worst mistake you'll ever make

3. Carry a gun for no reason....idle guns are the devils breeding grounds

4. Solve a fistfight with a pistol.....thats for suckas.

all im sayin is think before you buy.....im out in frisco, if you want some help dogg come holla at me, its nothin..i'll take you to the range and help you pick one out

Your also gonna need to complete a BFSC test to get your card....(basic Firearms Safety Course) cout about $20-30 and its a basic test, they give you a book to study for a week, go back take the test...done
and of course....no felonies, restraining orders, history of mental illness...etc...and your good to go...

im here if you got questions...get advice before ya buy
lol dayum homey u the gun expert. good info though!

just curious.. what would happed if someone was invading your house, and you shot them and they died? or if they lived?

first off it usually depends on if they was a minority and if you was white... freal, let's be real that REALLY pays a big factor.

Legally, if your life is threatened or you see another person's life threatened and the only way to survive is to use deadly force than it's self-defense as long as ur gun is registered and shit like that. Now, if you're able to get the robber and he's still alive or you knocked him out or sum shit and then you shoot him and kill him that's murder. If the robber runs from your house and you shoot him on the way out, that's murder. Generally the pos will be lenient to the victims in these cases, but it all depends on where you live and shit like that. Around where I stay at there was a case where a black doode was robbin sum white guy's house up in b.more and the white guy not only shot him but he doused him in gasoline and lit him on fire. And you know what? He got off on "self-defense"... now you tell me how dousing him in gasoline and finding time to go get a match and light him and all that shit was self defense??? If the races switched u know he'd have caught a case... but that's the way it is.

I got a question tho for you gun folks.. I know you gotta be 21 to get a handgun and 18 to get a shotgun but I heard wit shotguns and rifles you don't need to take no tests or nothing you just go in, buy em, wait 7 days and that's it... any truth to that??

Oh yea, btw for you folks who believe that if you buy a gun and kill sumbody the police can track your gun.. nope that's wrong. Y'all remember the DC sniper? Doode was about 10 miles south of where I live killing foos for WEEKS and his gun was registered they never found him. Why? Cuz there's no national ballistic fingerprinting database. In other words, you can basically shoot whoever you want and leave ur casings wherever you want and as long as there aint no wittness and no fingerprints you're straight. I live in baltimroe right now you know how many open murder cases we got? The police cant do shit.

Damn, now how in the fuck do you get off on self-defense after shooting someone and setting him up on fire? WTF??????????????? I feel you tho, if races switched then black dude would of caught some shit.

As for shotguns, you sure? No tests or license? Just registration?

im a little lazy right now to do a 5 paragraph post ...but with any gun purchase dog you gotta get a bsfc card and pass the doj backround check,10day wait, but i can only speak for cali...and even then im not 100%....difference i know of is regarding purchases...you can purchase 1 handgun every 30 days, but any amount of rifles, i had this problem at a gunshow i was at at and damn near wanted tobuy everyhing i saw...then i get calls sayin the purchase/backround check been rejected due to the 1st purchasei made 2 weeks before the gunshow...lets just say it took me a while to finally get them all.

and the test is a written test..and they give you a book with all the answers a week before ...most of it is basic knowledge ..

wuttup musty, i've been checking out handguns at the range recently. they had me looking at ruger p94 and 95s for a little above 3 bills. i'm kind of on a budget, but i could probably go a little higher than that...do u think those are a good buy for that price range? both are 9mm, but i dont want to get a 9 and wish later that i got a 45...ammo's cheaper tho. what u think is a good choice in semis in the 300-400 range?

I just turned 21 two weeks ago. I wanted to get something small, so I went for a 9 (I never even considered a 22). I got an American made Kel-Tec P11, its supposedly the smallest, lightest 9mm ever made. It weighs 14 oz. without the clip. Its a little concealed guy that I can carry around, but I'm looking for something with stopping power once I get used to the 9.

My cousin came with me and bought a Ruger. I didn't want the Ruger cause I wanted something I could conceal. Everytime he shot it, he'd limp wrist it, and it would jam on the reload. Sounds like a shitty gun if you ask me, but I dont know shit.

As for PA law, I went to the gun store, told them what I wanted, they called up the police station, did an on the spot background check, and I left 10 minutes later with my piece.

I saw a Mossberg there...can you saw that shit off? It looks like it would be tough as hell to do a good job making a sawed off.

Oh yeah, and my roomate just took a CSI class in school, and he learned hella crazy shit about ballistics and fingerprinting and all the junk. Basically if you dont want to get caught, dont use your gun. IF they have your gun, and they have the bullet, you're screwed plain and simple. So if its registered, you can't toss it after you use it or else they'll know you tossed it. You gotta report it stolen ahead of time, which doesn't happen. If you're trying to defend yourself, buy it in the stores. If you're not trying to defend yourself...don't buy it in the store.

Oh, and a little bit of trivia - Gunshot residue is very very easy to get rid of. Sometimes just putting your hands in your pockets is enough. Washing your hands completely gets rid of it. Fuck that 3-day, 4-day bullshit. If you shoot a gun and wash your hands 10 minutes later, you will not fail a GSR test. They only say it lasts 3 days so that they can scare you when you get brought in for questioning.
