Huff can play 3rd and LF. he did both in Baltimore. and I am glad to have him back. We need to tweak a few things still but we are on our way!!!! 1 thing that hasnt and wont change is how good our pitching is. We just need to average 4-5 runs a game and we will win 100+ games in the reg. season and fight for another title!!!!!

I wanna see OOOO @ 3rd and Bartlett at SS.

Give pablo a year in the minors to get his head out of his ass, let him know if he aint get his shit together, hes very expendable.... plus seeing uribe gettin paid for his performance could financially motivate pablo

what are Crawfords chances of making the squad if we dont land a SS..... he's got one hell of a glove but he needs to work on his bat. hopefully he makes the squad so he can learn from Uribe if he resigns.

EDIT: thats brandon crawford not carl...... but i wouldnt mind carl crawford either

Sabean will only go after another SS if Uribe isn't coming back. Pablo WILL be playing 3B, Uribe is going to be playing SS only.

Opening day starters, as of now, should be:

1B. Huff
2B. Sanchez
SS. Uribe or another SS
3B. Sandoval
LF. DeRosa
CF. Torres
RF. Ross
C. Posey

I can see Belt coming up mid-year, a la Posey and pushing Huff to LF (and DeRosa to UTL).

His glove is MLB ready, but he broke his hand and lost about half a season of AB's in AA. He was making good progress in a tough hitting environment until he got hurt. He should be in Fresno this coming season and I think his bat will come around there. IMO he'll be up in September and will compete for the starting job next year if we don't sign a SS long term.

Still can't believe we won the world series. Wake up every morning, think about it and start my day off in a happy ass mood. Feel like it was all a dream until I see all the papers on my wall....

Cardinals, Giants, Padres Interested In Tejada
By Ben Nicholson-Smith [November 24 at 3:20pm CST]

The Cardinals, Giants and Padres are expressing varying degrees of interest in Miguel Tejada, according to Enrique Rojas of ESPN Deportes (link in Spanish). Some teams see Tejada as a shortstop and others see him as a third baseman, according to Rojas' source.

The 36-year-old played 58 games at short for the Padres after they acquired him from Baltimore, where he was playing third base. The Giants are focused on finding a shortstop and the Cardinals could use middle infield help.

Tejada could have earned a raise from his 2010 salary of $6MM had the Padres offered arbitration. The Padres did not offer arbitration, so teams will not have to surrender a pick to sign Tejada, a Type A free agent.

The six-time All-Star batted .269/.312/.381 with 15 homers between Baltimore and San Diego last year. He appeared in over 150 games for the 11th time in 12 seasons.
