ouch, mariners caught win-itis again
Win-itis: Anytime the mariners are winning and first place or possible playoffs is mentioned, the mariners will then lose at near 100% until there is no chance of recovery

theyve lost the past 9 out of 11 games (i think, not sure), right after we were right there near first place and everybody had nothing but good things to say

yea and eric wedge and everybody else was fucking sleeping

they thought the umpire had the right count and was just like "oh well, guess we werent paying close attention"
bullshit. i wanted to see hats flying off and dirt being kicked around and bases being tossed into the outfield, lol

Are you kidding me? The reason that shit happened is because the scoreboard operator fucked up and put a 3-2 count on the board when it was only 2-2.

http://blog.seattlepi.com/baseball/2011/07/03/umps-mariners-explain-mystery-of-the-three-ball-walk/
“I thought I just missed a pitch,” Wedge told reporters, according to Taylor Soper of MLB.com. “Nobody reacted to it, nobody did anything. He went to first base so I felt like I was in the wrong, but obviously that wasn’t the case.”
lol exactly like i said, wedge was like "oh well guess i wasnt paying attention". NOBODY DID. that shit is just unacceptable, someone shouldve noticed it be it one of the umps, the catcher, someone in the dugout, that shit was ridiculous

bottom line its the mariners fault for losing cause ONCE AGAIN they scored no runs.

thats what happens when you bank 29% of your on field payroll on two loser ass lead-off hitters that dont amount to jack shit on a team desperately needing power hitters for over a decade

ichiro obviously doesnt deserve to be in the all star game

i mean come on even teixeira didnt make it in there and thats just the first example of someone who is doing way better than ichiro that i could come up with off the top of my head.

Kyle Seager is already proving to be a valuable asset in the Seattle Mariners organization.

When Dustin Ackley(notes) was promoted from Triple-A Tacoma to the major leagues, the Mariners had to fill that roster spot. What they decided to do was promote Seager out of Jackson and into his second base slot for the Rainiers. All he has done since then is post spectacular numbers that might actually have him on the fast-track to the big leagues.

Seager had been hitting .312 at Double-A, with 83 hits in just 66 games played. He was showcasing some nice talent at second base, and with the biggest asset in the system getting promoted (Ackley), Seager finally got his chance.

The irony is pretty thick here, as Ackley and Seager were actually teammates at North Carolina. Seager was the second baseman for the Tar Heels, a position that the Mariners groomed Ackley to take over in the major leagues. Now, it seems like Ackley will be the second baseman for many years to come, and the thought process evolves into how Seattle can use Seager. There are certainly fans that would love to see him move to third base, but there is also the sentiment that he could become a valuable trade asset.

In his first eight games at Tacoma (through July 1), Seager has posted a .514 batting average. He has 19 hits in 37 at-bats as well as four walks to go with it. His 13 runs scored have been just as beneficial as Ackley's production when he was at Tacoma, and his clutch hitting has started to really turn some heads in the organization. Seager already has nine RBIs in those eight games, and has connected with multiple hits in seven of them.

Seager almost appears like he is ready for a promotion to the major leagues, and that is what could make him a very valuable trade commodity. The Mariners should not promote him if he isn't going to get to play every day, but they should certainly sing his praises if it comes to bringing in a power hitter on offense. The risk is that they might give up Seager for a player that isn't worth the exchange, though, much in the way they lost Asdrubal Cabrera(notes) a few years ago.

welcome to the big leagues seager! Congratulations!
oh and by the way you'll be facing all star Jered Weaver who currently happens to have one of the lowest ERAs in all of baseball and is on a hot streak

so the general consensus right now "before the season started, we didnt even dream of being this close in the race!" when we talk of trying to fix our offense and being tired of losing. and staying the course is our only chance at success. "it may take another 2-3-4 years but we'll have an amazing ball club by then, just wait!" well i guess we have no choice but to wait. im not going into this angels series and texas series with any high hopes
