Tech should crack billboard top 5, maybe as high as 3.

Looks like #5 and especially #3 was just a pipe dream. With a little over half the sales reported, he's only sitting at #7. Won't be taking the top debut spot either. Ronnie Dunn (of Brooks & Dunn) looks to be a lock for that. I guess that could change if the remaining 45% of the sales are in big Tech markets or stores, but... I wouldn't hold your breath. On the "building charts," he usually starts high and as more sales comes in he starts slipping.

I believe the official numbers are usually finalized tonight, and then released sometime Thursday. Mind you though, that the sales excerpt I posted comes from HDD, and their numbers are generally off a little from the official numbers.

The numbers are usually off like you said, but aren't they normally INFLATED? Meaning he (if trends from the past prove correct) will probably fall more than that even reflects now?

#4 behind......the book of Mormon soundtrack?!? I'm assuming they got a big boost with the Tony Awards this weekend which would explain why they weren't in early projections.

Mind you that HDD's numbers aren't official and usually end up a little higher than the actual numbers. There looks to be a big enough gap between #4 and #5 though, that I don't see Tech dropping a spot. Could happen though.

Damn thats a good look for Tech, they actually predicted it pretty acurately. Hopefully they haven't counted pre orders yet but I HIGHLY doubt that.
