I'm sick of muthafuckas talkin shit about Frontline and them. They make good music, just cuz they aint gangstas doesn't mean they can't make music!! Its fucking music!! You dont' see this type of bullshit attitude in ANY other type of music.

And you don't see it in any other countries either. The US is a fucked up country. In other countries, gangstas handle their business in the street, men don't run around trying to act hard constantly, people know who's doing what and that's enough. A dude that will straight up cut open your throat if you cross him will wave and smile at strangers in his neighborhood--crazy shit for us to think about here!! They don't feel the need to pufff their chest out in the music.

Thats the problem, the gangsta IMAGE is killin rap music, especially in the Bay where that's all we make (damn near). Look at how no one gives a fuck about the conscious shit that comes out--AND YES, even (or ESPECIALLY) the middle class suburban squares that want to hear gangsta shit exclusively.

The bay area is THE most politically-inclined place in the USA but a lot of bay area hip hop is real superficial--including most of the shit I listen to myself--but at least I see what the fuck is going on and I try to stay up on conscious shit also. Most of what we talk about on this board is who sold what dope, who went to jail, whose life was tougher, who's from what hood, who's really gangsta. That shit is cool but that aint doin nuthin for nobody. And then some fools try to do some DIFFERENT shit musically and ignorant dummies jump on them.

Some of you on the siccness love to live out your gangsta dreams through the music you listen to. yall need to re-wind Dub 20's verse on JACKAs shit:

"my nigga, the closest you come to the streets
is when you hear a thug and come to the beat
sit at home, choke, get high
then ya throw me on, soak my lines
then ya fall in the zone, super dig the guy
transform into a clone, think you is the guy
you got it wrong, you dont really want to live like I
cuz its not really known if I'ma live or die"

THIS SHIT IS DIRECTED AT YOU!!!! HE'S TALKIN TO SOME OF YOU MUTHAFUCKAS -- WITH GOOD REASON

BUT ay its also REAL gangstas out there fucking up our music by doing shit like dissing Frontline just cuz they aint thuggin--being gangsta doesnt make you a musician, and being a musician SHOULDNT mean that you have be a G.

Let people live. Support people thats trying to make this shit better for all of us, not just kill their own people and take from the oppressed, then put down people who try to do something a little different.

Aiight thats all I got 2 say. Just struck a nerve there.

Does anyone have this track? Anyway yuks song on that new got bay mixtape is hot but they really fucked up on the tracklisting.
Yea the tracklisting is messed up cuz it says yukmouth feat. babyface assasin but dru down is on the track 2. And i doubt that dudes name is babyface assasin cuz he is reppin regime in the track and i aint never heard of no regime member by the name of babyface ASSASIN. Now unless babyface is a new regime member i just think its one of the lesses known regime members.

@ mezzano.

its like yuk is trapped in the 90's time zone. the team and frontline know whats really about todays music and what the audience is digging. the majority of the sales now a days are from club bangers and raw lyrics. the team probably got the most underrated club banging hits in the country; locksmith will rip any rapper.
the gangsta sh1t still got its place in music, but today, that phase/genre wont sell as much as it did in the 90s. new bay has music that are what the majority audience is listening to today.

Man Yuk is dissin everyone. Who has responded to his disses besides, Game?
Exactly.

It's like Yuk is that little kid in the back of the classroom that's trying to disrupt the teacher's lesson. The first couple of days, the shit is kinda funny and entertaining but after a month or so aint nobody really paying any attention to him.

It's not disrespectful for the "OG" bay artists to take offense to what the "New Bay" was/is trying to do. To me, whoever took offense, took what Frontline and them was trying to do the wrong way. Sort of a misunderstanding. You see that everyday. BUT, it is disrespectful (to me anyway) for some of the OG bay artists to be negative and dis these cats without any real grounds to do so.

There's always going to be friction when there's change, but that don't make the cats that's trying to start the friction in the right.

they was just retaliating the old school way... When they was hollerin 'new bay' it made the OG artists feel like these boys tryna take the market from them so they had to retaliate show em theyve still got game... there were cheap shots thrown and i think thats where people think it was personaly.. Fuck, Left is J Jonah's (CIN) nephew and thats some mobb game they cool. Im sure left said he got into his flows from Jonah....

rap group outta richmond from the "old" bay.

new bay this old bay that. to me the bay is the bay. there shouldn't be any labeled categories. shit's rediculous to me. and of course if a new group from the bay starts hollerin or claimin' the "new" bay then of course there's gonna be some rappers that had been puttin it down for years take it to offense. so i don't blame yuk. he's just takin a stand. maybe the frontline and balance may be claiming the "new" bay in a different way but you can see where it can be offensive to other people. i hope it really is just a misunderstanding when they're claimin' the new bay because a shot at the og rappers from the bay would be straight disrespect.

When frontline first came out I knew there would be alot of cats that would hate on them becuase of their flow and becuase them niggas is tight and are on some other shit. Me..I dig they shit...tey on some real shit. what they speak about is real and the cats got spit. Yuk is gunna be Yuk. I think he's just a competitive dude when it comes to rap and he never got to where he should of in this game in his eyes and many others. Yuk is better at putting rhymes together in 1 verse than most niggas in the game period....so I can understand him to a certain extent..but yeah I think the cat is just a hungry as mc. But he should use that energy in a diffrerent maner. Some new beats instead of the same thug'd out slaps. try some new shit..it would make him feel better inside. But yeah the Frontline is a good group.
