I think its smart, its obvious he wants to put out a classic album and do some big numbers, and is gonna take the time and be patient to put out the album he wants, and it aint like hes not puttin quality shit out now, Optimus Rhime and CHapter 1:The Rise shit on alot of albums... Imma flip This and anything else that he drops cuz i know its gonna be dope.... Dude is hella talented and takes this rap shit serious, if u listen to Rookie Of the Year and his new shit u can tell he is still growing as and artist... thats what i think seperates him from alot of artists is that he treats it like a craft and really works at it

As everyone else is saying regardless if the shit has original beats or not he needs to drop an album. If all the shit has origina lbeats he needs to make an album. Street album doesn't make it any better.

along with the others, im kinda gettin tired of all these mixtapes.. i didnt like optimus much and the ride on em was cool but i couldnt play it more than 2 more times. i have no anticipation for an album but i'll definitely pick and ALBUM up, not his mixtapes.

but on a light note im still bumpin 100 Bars of Death.

ya boy has the only mixtapes i cant complain about

they are basically solo street albums disguised as a mixtape

if this next one is what it should be, ya boy is gonna be on top

I don't understand why everyone is bitching to put out an album. To me, if it's Ya Boy rapping over original beats, how is that different than an album? Essentially he is dropping an album for us every 4 months and I'm not complaining

My nig or not he need an album. Weezy has been featured on HELLA shit so he has an excuse and to compare Ya Boy to Weezy is not even fair. He was hot when he dropped 16 wit me, that was his buzz right there. Since K-Fed is playing Daddy it seems like Ya Boy haslost some momentum.

cause albums usually are well mixed/mastered and there ain't any dj drops all over them...

but hopefully he'll be able to provide us with another "chapter 1 the rise"...cause i haven't really liked anything from him since then...

I feel what you're saying, but his mixtapes have been mixed better than a lot of albums that have been put out in the bay.

When you're asked to get in the studio with Glasses Malone, Game, Jay Rock, Sean Kingston and other artists that are signed to major labels and distribution deals and are being pushed nationally on the radio, it would make sense to just put out mixtapes with no real promotional budget. In his case, it's almost all new material and beats. If he put out the next one and said it was an album, would people be pleased....NO...They'd still find something to complain about. People in the bay may be ready, but the rest of the country is just getting put up on Ya Boy.
