For example:
Turf Talk Brings The Hood Colabilation
On the spine it says:
Turf Talk BINGS The Hood Colabilation
I'm not putting them out there like they're the only ones who do it, in fact I think SWR releases are pretty good about that... But I see it all the time on Bay Area CD's.
I know a lot of people don't care but think about it... These are albums. These are put on store shelves all over the world. Is there ANY REASON to put something like this out there?!! I work in an industry where we put out products in a similar fashion and we have at least 5 different people checking every package... It's that important. One person proofreading something can catch some of the ridiculous shit I see on Bay Area CD covers. It's embarassing.
Go pick up a 50 Cent album, or a Cash Money album, or a Jadakiss album, or a Jay-Z album... In most cases where an album is being handled professionally you're not gonna see something like that.
If someone isn't going to put work into their product, why should I bother spending my money on it. If your album isn't important enough to you for you to have someone spend 5 minutes checking for basic spelling errors, why should I consider it important enough to spend money on.
