and as far as doing the whole sex image, lauryn didn't do that...it helped that she sang, but she didn't sell herself as a sex object...niether did mc lyte, heather b, rah digga (who is from jersey, not ny), and a few others that got deals and got out there....were they marketed correctly and huge successes? lyte & lauryn were, but the rest weren't....I know a female that can run circles around most men with her writtens, and she's not getting on tracks shouting "we rockin stilleto's hoe" wearing skimpy ass clothes....will she make it & make a change in the industry, who knows, but I do think eventually skilled females will take their place in hip hop....I just hope the dope ones don't get exploited/try to exloit themselves like shawnna & the rest...
