A lot of cats aint willin to say fuck the radio and give up the loot that comes with it. I can't say fuck the radio because the radio cats arent the ones that have costed me BREAD. Bay artist and producers have. Radio has shown me nothing but love by playing IT DON'T STOP by TOPKAT and it's shown me nothing but love when the bay dj's put IT DON'T STOP and any MACK HAND material on the mix tapes they release. Radio will be showing me love when I get this shit ironed out for these commercial jingles.

west coast artists just need to start pushin some commercial/club shit. I know alot of people might hate that shit. Its all about the clubs now. Make music for the bitches.
All artists from the East and South got patterns. Every artist would come out with a club hit....then a track for the bitches.......if they're still hot (which is rare to have 3 hits), then come out with some thugged out gangster shit. The rest of the songs on the albums would be about some killin and life strugglin shit anyway so u can make money off of the best of both worlds.
Muthafuckuz out here need some beats too. Example: When the westcoast artists come out with mixtapes and shit WHO's beats R they spittin on? >some eastcoast or Dirty south shit. What about when THEY come out with mixtapes?> they using eachothers shit. U dont ever hear any west coast beats on an eastcoast or dirty south mixtape unless its Dr. Dre.
Also the west needs to start makin songs for everybody. I mean Bay Area heads just cant keep makin songs for the Bay. San Diego & L.A. homies cant just talk about how hard they hoodz are. They just need to mellow that shit down and start makin hits. ALL beefs need to be squashed too.
If your in the music business ur definately tryin to make money right? Why is it that when a West artist starts sellin all kinds of units or signs with a major everybody in the WEST starts hatin. Look at Snoop. He's doin songs with NSYNC and Nelly makin some cash, but his own coast dont even like him. Whats up with that. Is that selling out OR is it just a higher way of hustling???
West Coast artists not only need to start spending time on albums, but they also need to spend time on songs too. Honestly think about the last album u bought or burned that u can listen to Front to Back without skipping any tracks.

Everybody needs to quit worrying about why this, and why that, and focus on the future. The future of hip hop is the westcoast and anybody that cant see that is blind. The west from the Bay to LA is makin big noise and these label heads are listenin. The fire thats burning in the west right now is growing rapidly and soon it will be an all out blaze. Trust me the west is hungry right now and when we touch down its gonna be back to business as usual (90's westcoast dominance). So lets all quit dwellin on the past (which was our problem to begin with) and start lookin forward to the future. 100

well, its a great opportunity for everybody in here whenever the west coast fall off cuz it makes the underground more hungry and independent. i think that ever since the west coast dropped off the mainstream map, there has been more underground radio shows and more indepedent distribution. now, when i think about it, west coast music not getting any national shine is sort of a blessing cuz it made the west coast underground more independent and not rely on mainstream radio or mainstream record labels to get the job done. i think the independent artists now can make that paper in all sorts of ways without getting on radio or on tv through mixtapes, message boards, dvds, and the internet hustlin. not being on the top ten in the radio sorta made us step up our game and united us.
