I'm listening to this right now and I ain't feeling it. Shot was cool out the gate back in the day, and when he dropped Six Figures (tho all the CD's seem to say Six Gigures on the side) he was still worth listening to, that CD is heavy.
But he never stepped his game up, never moved on, dude always pretty weak emcee but a good businessman, knew a good sound, but thats not enough no more because if he can't find the production his rapping ain't handling nothing.
And he didn't find production on this one... Its corny as fuck, full of irritating ass choruses and semi-crunk semi-hyphy low budget video game type beats. Most of it seems to be aimed at the ladies too, or men who like to dance.
Dude also picked a lot of slow dedication type tunes, prolly because its easier for his slow limited flow, but most of us ain't gonna swoop a CD full of that. And how you gonna get shown up by your features on EVERY damn track?
Anyway... most of the choruses and a lot of the spits is just plain embarassing by the end of CD its just skip skip skip through some of the most retarded crunk type club tracks, Mob In The Club is Shot's 'U And Dat'. And it's horrible.
Some of the guest features ride the beats nicely but truthfully I'd be ashamed to have these choruses and Shot's verses playing out my car. I'll stick to his OG CD's. Oh and the 40 tune on there is recycled.
I couldn't find a track I wanted to play again. I guess I listened to 'Work That Flo' again but only because the beat was so ridiculous it sounded like some kind of go-go miami bass crunk and Shot switched up his style on it. Uggghhh.
