Don't trip Brown_Boy... it's not worth going back and forth with them because they're hatin' and they don't want to see the Raiders get better. We'll just have to see what happens. I think Calvin Johnson, JaMarcus Russell, and Adrian Peterson are all going to be deep. But I think the Raiders need JaMarcus Russell the most because he could stablize our QB position for years as opposed to a proven bum/bust like David Carr.

Well you do have to go to college before you go to the nfl genious you act like its high-school ball. Your arguments have no meaning.
YOU act like schooling a bunch of youngsters is gonna show you what he will do in the NFL. It's obvious you don't understand football, so I won't bother explaining the difference between college and pro ball to you.

bro all of us are tryna say is jrussel has the chance to bust just like any other mutha fucka that gets drafted what do you not see about that? do you really think that jrussel is going to come in and just refurbish the raiders organzation to a undefated season or something? yes there is a chance that he comes in and is a huge contribution.....but theres that same exact chance that he bust and is a waste of a draft pick.....

period....there is no argueing to that at all

thats exactly what everyone is tryna say.......college success doesnt equal nfl success....some of the best college players dont pan out in the nfl...and some of the most unkown college players become superstars....JRUSSEL has a lot to work on just like everyone else.....the way that some of you are putting it makes it seem like hes coming in here with no chip on his shoulder and is ready to win.....a lot of the "experts" say he WILL pan out and be a success.....a lot of the same "experts" said vince young would be a total bust.....

one of JRUSSELs biggest knocks is his foot movement and that he doesnt follow threw with throws.....which is VERY coachable.....the question is how will he take this coaching (be hard headed and not take it well? orrrr take it well and improve?)...he also needs a coach that is good at teaching certain things....

would vince young do what he did last year if he WASNT drafted by the titans? with out norm chow.....(possibly one of the best o-cords int he game right now?)

its all speculation but we could of been saying VY is a total bust if he was drafted by houstan.....and never been in the postion to suceceed

I think JR would be cool. He's been working with Martinez (Brady's former coach from San Mateo who cleans up Brady's mechanics in the offseason) and dude said that JR is coachable and he hasn't seen a talent coming out of college like this. I'll think he'll do good.

I see your point, but it seems to me like you all are making a point that jr is going to be a bust. Like you said anyone can be a bust so why is everyone putting an emphasise on him. I said before he has no outstandidng flaws i believe hell be able to this team better than cj would.

Youre such an idiot. Why dont you tell me a better way that we can mesaure how well he will do in the nfl. Youngsters these are some of americas best athletes and you call them youngsters. Come on make an argument that has meaning to it.

Look..

There is no way to measure how well the player will do in the NFL. Sometimes no-namers in college pan out and end up being stars in the NFL, and sometimes stars in college flop. Success in college does not equal success in the NFL.

If you truly think Russell's performance against Notre Dame is going to mirror his play in the NFL, you're a fuckin idiot. Period.

What your just now saying is what ive been talkin about the last few posts. My question is why you emphasize on the opinion that jr will be a bust, and never say it about anyone else. I agree there is no way to measure, but there are ways to get an idea of how well a player can do in the nfl, and one of the best is to see how well they do in college. He was in a conference with a lot of great defenses.I just believe you all need to give the kid a fuckin break.
