I did see the Sugar Bowl though when LSU (Russell's team) blew Norte Dame (Quinn's team) out of the stadium. So yeah that should tell you about my credibility. Their teams went head up and Quinn's didn't stand a chance. The game was over at halftime! LOL
And I suppose both teams consist of just one player?

No they don't but the quarterbacks play had a lot to do with who's team won that game. One quarterbacks play stood out and one quarterbacks play didn't. What was the final score of that game anyway? I forgot...

As a real football fan I agree with you. When it comes down to it games are won and lost in the trenches. But with us having an opportunity to upgrade and get one of the best prospects coming out of college with the first pick, we gotta go for it. It's either a hit or miss. I don't think we have to throw the whole draft just to upgrade our offensive line. Don't forget we got new coaches. Our whole offensive scheme and blocking scheme is going to change. We gotta take Russell with the number one pick dog.... in my opinion.
I feel where your comin from..with the #1 pick I think its wisest to take a RB or QB based on the amount of touches during a game so I wouldn't be mad if we drafted Russell. But as far as the rest of the picks we really need to add depth to the line..I think we look pretty decent everywhere else on offense.

You have to take the defenses into account as well. Russell's D may have been tearing shit up that day while Quinn's didn't show up. You can't base a QB's playing ability on one game. Everyone has a bad game every now and then.. Even the greatest QBs of all time have stunk it up.

LSU's defense overall was rakned in the top 10 and ND's wasnt even in the top 50 in the nation. That should say something.

I agree too. Don't let these Raider haters poison your mind. They want to see the Raiders fuck up so they can continue to talk shit about the Raiders. Scouts, coaches, etc... are saying there is not a throw that Russell can't make. At Russell's pro day he threw the ball 75 times and only missed on about 5. They say he has a quick release and was throwing the ball 60 yards with accuracy just by flicking his wrist.

If the Raiders draft him... teams can blitz if they want to. Their DB's will get exposed in one on one coverage. Porter and Moss will love that. Plus I think Moss is returning because he knows who the Raiders are going to draft.

I've already pointed that out several times, he does not listen.

Being able to make any throw and being able to bomb the ball without effort does not mean he will make the right decisions.

you're trippin you act like it was russel vs. norte dame! fist off norte dame was way overrated. all they had was quinn and that tall white boy reciever. Notre Dame's defense sucked dick, especially the secondary. LSU on the other hand has a solid backfield a star reciever with a solid recieving core and russel. not to mention there defense was hella good and they had landry running the defense. Landry is a top ten pick. there was a lot of stars on that LSU team. so my point is russel had a lot more weapons to use then quinn. oh and one more thing if you wouldve actually watched Notre Dame vs. LSU game you wouldve noticed russel had all day to throw un like Quinn. I mean if russel was so good how come he wasnt even mentioned as a heismen candidate?
