You got the wrong idea homie. You, ESPECIALLY AS AN ARTIST, shouldn't be suggesting that anyone take from anyone! Nelly & Eminem are EARNING people's money and better at it than most. They obviously make music that people want to listen to and are willing to pay for. Thats fact whether you like it or not and if you think otherwise, which you already stated you do, then you don't even respect the business you are trying to be a part of and profit from. Dig that!

Considering that most americans make between $22,000-$25,000 a year on average, I don't think you are going to win over any fans with that comment.

From a consumers standpoint... you sound like one of those cats who expects support. You sound like you expect people to buy your shit just because you managed to somehow put it out. If that's true then you can definately expect that I will never support you. If that's not true then do your job and convince me you are worth my money. When you can figure out how to do that then you will have a chance at a career in the music business.

i was watchin CNN the other night right...? they was doin the year in review in music....they had some industry specialist (cant remember who) but she broke down some real good points...alot that pertain to this thread...the music industry right now is FUCKED UP!!!! she basically said...2002 was a real bad year...and 2003 will be just as bad...with all the pirating going on....its gonna be hard for the industry to bounce right back into the swing of things.....which is forcing these major labels to sign new talent..and make major changes...its to the point now where (major) artists are re-releasing the same album with extras..i.e. enhanced cd...dvd....signed poster...bonus tracks....which are forcing the consumer to buy the same album 2 or 3 times.....alot of consumers are like fuck it...on most music..and there downloading...unless its a must have like most marshall mathers lps...or a nelly album...which makes it harder on niggas like myself..but when was this shit easy??? just my 2 cents on the whole business ritt now....1

Why? Why should I care more about you getting your money than them? Just because they have more? So because they are able to do what you aren't, which is sell albums, I shouldn't support them? If I have to choose between two albums, one from a mainstream artists and one from an underground bay artists I'm choosing based on quality no location. FUCC WHERE YOU ARE FROM it has no affect on wether or not I buy your album. Nobody should by an album for any other reason that because they like it. If you buy an album for any other reason then you are a dumb fucc. Just because you are from the bay doesn't mean you deserve support, you don't deserve shit. Don't TELL people to buy your album instead of Eminem's get your shit together and make an album BETTER than Eminem's that they will want to buy more than his. But what I say probably doesn't matter to you since you won't be getting any money from me after that shit you said. Just because you are less known and less successful doesn't mean you deserve the consumers money more than those who are well known and very successful.
