Who here goes to movie theaters alone?

True that on the club tip. Or how about seeing people eat alone a really, really high priced restaurant. They never seem to look that happy.
And I worked at a movie theater for like a year and during the weekday matinee shifts it seemed like close to half of the customers went by themselves, well maybe not half but it happened all the time. I'm not gonna say youre weird and have no social ties if you go alone but most of those customers were lets just say socially "out of the loop." lol

i always wondered what people do when they move to a completely new town, for the most part i would assume that its just like over here, i usually wouldnt hang out with people from work, all the friends i have are from childhood, k-12 schooling, or i met them from other friends. if someone moves to a new spot i dont see how they can get established in a completely new circle of friends, whos got time to be nice to anyone anymore feel me. those are probably the people were talkin about in this thread. even in college, im in and out, i dont really care for the people there. they aint really on the same hype as me and i dont feel i should take the time to small talk with most of them when i got enuff shit goin on in my regular life.
I have thought about going alone to certain movies. because my family and friends are too scared to go there with me.
But other than that I don't think I have ever gone alone. I have always gone with at least one other person...
one of my cousins goes alone all the time lol I think it's weird. but he likes it.
I don't see what the big deal is. If you watch TV and movies alone at home.. it's no different than going to a movie along or playing arcades alone lol

lol...why are your family and friends scared to go to the movies with you? I don't know, that just really made me laugh right now.
I watch movies alone all the time, but then again I work at a theater and get paid to screen them a few days before they come out...I guess that is different.
I don't like going to the movies in big groups though, everybody won't shut the fuck up. I usually just go with like one or two other people.

^I used to work at a theatre for almost 5 years....shit was tight, I watched "The Ring" in a big ass theatre by myself a week before the movie came out.....the video part came on, then my phone rang 
it was my co-worker making sure I was screening it, but damn.....I like watching movies in big groups tho for certain movies like comedies and horror....action if the dialog doesn't matter, its always fun to clown your friends and say point to the drunken midget on screen and say "Hey look, its jerry! don't eat the dog shit jerry! aww jerry!" I've gone to the movies alone waiting for people to get off work too...but I don't just go to the movies by myself for the fuck of it.....there were hella people that did when I worked there tho...

i always go to the movies by myself. its really the only way you can fully concentrate on a movie...i dont look at going to the movie theatre as a 'fun night out' i just wanna see whatever movie i came to see and be out...
smoke in the car 5 minutes before the previews, and put my liquor in my pocket, bring in an unopened bottle of fiji water and im cool for 2 hours....
i like going to matinees when no ones there, youll just have like 2-3 people in the movie theatre.
and you only look like a loser at nighttime when you have some sort of humility....im always looking for reason to start a theatre brawl....that cell phone shit might get you mopped..
