Never said he wasn't good. I just disagree with putting a number to how many people he is better than. And to be more specific...I disagree with putting a number to, essentially, how many COLORED people he is better than.
COLORED? What year is this?

Yes I agree.....

That white people are only good for 3 things.

1. Good looking white girls
2. Drinking Milk
3. Surfing (or skateboarding)

And black people are only good for 3 things.

1. Eating ribs
2. Making babies
3. Sporting $350 throwbacks, $2500 chrome spinners, and still living at home with Mom.

Thank You and I Love You All.

Make sure you pick up that new Ja Rule CD. It's Cripalicious.

Right on everybody has excellent points!

Myself I got two things to say:

1. AS a rap fan, I lost eyes for someones skin color & their image. Seriously, the guy could be pale white with red hair and if he came tight I would bump it.

2. IF white people are allowed to listen to rap, they should be allowed to contribute to it in means of music.
^^ REAL TALK RIGHT THERE!!

The #1 problem you're going to find is right there. Once ONE white anything breaks through a minority-dominated area, he is considered one of the greatest of all time. (Larry Bird, Rocky Marciano, Elvis, and the list goes on). I mean...90%? Come on now. You were making good points until that diarrhea of the mouth happened.
as does when a black person breaks through. for example, jackie robinson, Tiger woods, bill russel, wilt chamberlain. there is a reason for this. it is because larry bird, jackie robinson, rocky marciano, Elvis, bill russel etc. WERE and still are some of the greates to do what they did. Your argument is ignorant.(ignorant cause you ignored the other side)

I swear, one of these days, i will bread you out to be on a track with me discussing this shit. You are in every one of these race threads, and i snicker at almost every word you say (much like a Dem would a Republican), but i can also see how people might agree.
[/B]
What's so funny about the shit I believe in? Of course I'm on every race thread, they are all touching on different types of race issues and I have a lot to say about it all...it is a major concern of mine!! About this thread, there was NOTHING funny about it, it's my point of view on this subject, and I have the same views as a lot of cats on this particular issue, do you "snicker" at them as well? Is it funny because I think Rap is like any other form of art and people should embrace whoever does it well and respects it as such? You dislike both of your backgrounds, yet I didn't laugh or make fun of that. I did point out the ignorance in such thoughts, but I left it at that. Maybe that's the difference in maturity levels between you and I.

All I know is after some of the comments you have made, I don't take you seriously one bit. I think you're a clown who needs to open his eyes to the real world and learn about shit before he speaks on it. Like me for instance, saying shit about my academic career and telling ME that I'm in denial cause I said I'm not racist towards anybody. You know not what you speak, and that's real talk!! I think before YOU tell everybody else to go read this and that and learn about it before they speak, you need to do it yourself. It's a whole different world here in California than it is up in Washington...I know because my boys moved out there and told me how people are...it's way different out here pimp. Go ahead and judge your fellow Washington cats, but don't judge anybody outside of that state because we're all different, especially in a state as diverse as Cali.

If you would understand how to read, you would realize i said "breaks through a minority-dominated area". What did Bill Russel break through? Wilt Chamberlain?

Half your people didn't even fit. Are not able to comprehend analogies?
rocky marciano made as much sense as bill russell. If you know anything about basketball, you would know bill russell was the first big black star of the NBA. and Rocky Marciano fought in a time where boxing wasnt exactly dominated by black people like it is today (if you can even say that since some of the best boxers of today arent black).

Music is universal man. Anyone who tries to turn music into a racial issue is a dumbfuck, straight up. Rap started out as party music for inner city kids. It was all about everyone just having a good time and staying out of trouble. Black, white, latin, asian....they all helped mold it.

Eminem is THE BEST SPITTING RIGHT NOW! PERIOD i didnt even read any other replies
this here proves how biased so many of you guys are. he has every reason to be biased, running a label full of talented artists, yet he can recognize when someone that aint his boy, is one of the best. people need not to open their eyes, but close them and see people for their talent and not the way they look or where they grew up. this is exact thing is part of the reason the bay aint blowing up. because people are narrow minded everywhere and if we are gonna hate on other people, why the hell would others choose not to hate on us?

Ok so thanks for all your opinions, ideas and answers. I will be doing a mini-documentary that will be shown in my class by December 8th. So I would be great if any of you would like to take part in this ( essentially folks in and around SF, East Bay or willing to travel here). I have more questions that I would like to ask in person about this subject. In the meantime if you want to speak on these other questions....
Is there an image that you have to portray to be a rapper? Honestly, taking into account someone's class (upper, middle, working...), gender, race, and even sexuality...would and are some rappers more accepted than others? Bluntly, why aren't there more gay or women or say, asian rappers out there? What makes rap universal?
Thanks again, I'm lookin forward to working with you. Again, if anything you can reach me at [email protected].

for the most part, a rapper has to be percieved by the fans to be real. whether they are real or not(there has definitley been several questions about several artists regarding this), they have to be believable. I think pretty soon there will be accpetance of any type of rapper by the mainstream, they will just have to be percieved as being real. no one likes "fake" people

Everyone knows that racism is present in the rap game and it shouldn't be there. Nothing is right about judging rappers/people on thier race.
To The people who see rap artists from outside the ghettos as taking their black culture have mental/emotional issues because thier creating a false reality for themselves. Noone is stealing anything from you. You should be happy that white peopl appreciate your music not fear there takeing over. Thats ridiculus. I wonder out of all the rappers out there how many are white. Ill bet a good 10% or less are. And even if the rap industry turned 99% white all that means is more white enjoy rapping than black. White people arent takeing away anyones right to be heard.
