what does 4 Tay do now? what did he get locked up for anyway back in the day?
4Tay was in rehab for being a goddamn crackhead. I'm not hating I saw it with my own eyes.

Sons of Funk broke up after giving Master P their new cd a few years ago. He was just using them as a tax write-off. My friend has a cousin in the group and we went to visit them a few years back during the Summer. Them fools have a condo in Fair Oaks and white Benzs. Instead of paying them for the songs from "I Got The Hook Up" Master P gave them the condo's and Benzs.

thanks for the info. Sons Of Funk were tight. Pushin' Inside Of You and Making Luv To My Bitch are two of my favorite songs. and that's sad about 4 Tay. He dropped some classic albums and his music was real positive too. Wasn't $ Tay in San Quientin though? And I never knew Sons Of Funk were from the bay area. thanks for the knowledge

Anthony Fortay may have been in Quentin for whatever I won't deny that but I know back then Too SHort and the Dangerous Crew used to leave him at KPOO and drive off without him.Interestingly enough, the four members of the group (Rico, Renzo, Des and G- Smooth) first came together as a vocal group while singing in the choir at the Rhema Christian Center in San Francisco, their best singer (dude that sang, Pushin Inside of You) was shot and killed before they made it big.

That's sad to hear...Sons Of Funk could have been something cool; I liked THE GAME OF FUNK, too. And I remember reading an article about No Limit in RAP PAGES back in '98, and it said that the Sons could play their own instruments and write music. They could have been like...maybe, another Isley Brothers had they not broke up, but I guess shit happens. It seems like anyone whose name wasn't Percy, Vyshonne, Corey or Romeo on No Limit didn't get promoted as well as they should have been...I wouldn't be surprised if some of the other No Limit acts were just tax write-offs as well...

I'd love to hear 4-Tay come with something new...

PEACE!

4Tay has new music out. He's on the Honest Bob cd. he has the same old style though. We actually heard the songs Sons of Funk submitted to Percy for their follow up cd, it was nice but like I said he had no intentin of releasing anymore music from them. I will say this though, Rico stayed with P but the others bounced. Rico went on to make some hits for Mystikal and others.

Which reminds me, what every happened to Mo B. Dick ?

From what I remember, around the time that many of the No Limit rappers left (1999), everyone from P's production team (BEATS BY THE POUND) left as well (except Carlos). Mo B. Dick left with Craig B., KLC and O'Dell, and the four of them changed their name to The Medicine Men. They produced some stuff for Mystikal's post No-Limit CDs (and I think they did some stuff on Big Ed and Mr. Serv-On's post-No Limit CDs, too).

I remember how Mo's GANGSTA HARMONY CD was first advertised as "coming soon" on P's ICE CREAM MAN CD, but it took three fucking years until it was actually released! LOL! It had some cool moments, but I think that it would have been better had Mo just sung all (or most) of the songs himself--after awhile, the whole "(fill in the blank) raps, Mo B. sings, then (another rapper) raps, end of song" thing got dull...

PEACE!
