prison is "meant to rehabilitate" you....its basically supposed to be a rehab center....

this case right here means that basically, there is nothing you can do once your on deathrow....no pardons, say a last prayer...

the system really showed us what its about on this one.

No, they murder him.

Tookie wasn't asking for freedom, he was asking for HIS LIFE.

You know like what they do with serial killers. They make deals with them, if they help them find the rest of the bodies and give them insight on the brutal slayings, then they give them their life.

You follow?

Tookie diserved a second chance at life, he should of not been murdered by the Government.

What this proved was, or what it meant, was nothing, it's that the Government is more corrupted and cold blooded than any other.

Especially if those sick fucking dirt bags who kill innocent people everyday and stash bodies in rivers and forrested areas get to have their life rotting in a cell with their sick inhuman memories of each murderous slay.

Tookie should of had his life too. Tookie was innocent compared to those sick fucks.

prisons should rehabilitate most crimes/crimninals.

but i also believe in that if you do the crime, you must do the time.

so if you are on death row for murder you cant and shouldnt be rehabilitated. you should just be killed.

==============================================
just a bit of a side note. during this tookie case alote of the same usual characters brought up the "race card". there is another execution coming up soon in California.

he is a white guy.

i wonder how many people are going to stand up for him????

How can anyone possibly believe that prison is meant to rehabilitate?

People with this opinion please tell me the ways that prison rehabilitates I would love to know.

There are examples of prison rehabilitation i.e. Malcolm X. I personally know people for whom jail was a wake-up call, or a time in which they find what they feel is a truer purpose.

I believe the facility, staff, and prison institutions can be a force for rehabilitation; this is almost never the case, however.

LOL how can you try and play a race card when it comes to executions? Go to deathpenaltyinfo.org and look some shit up, for every black person executed theres atleast 3 or 4 white people executed.

If Tookie didn't start the crip gang, didn't get all this support from the hip hop community then most of the people on this board wouldn't be sayin Tookie should've been pardoned. I've seen so many fuckin threads on various message boards throughout the internet talkin about how "Tookie was a rydah" and bullshit like that. If the dude wasn't a crip people wouldn't have said shit, GO NET THUGS.

On the other hand if your makin the arguement because you just flat out don't believe in the death penalty whether black, white, latino, asian, crip, blood, etc. etc. Then you go boy, but don't bring race into this shit.

My personal views on ANY death row case is if you did the crime then eye for an eye. If you murder 4 people then your a scumbag. Let's put it this way, if Tookie Williams murdered your mother and sister would you still be sayin Save Tookie?

this is honestly a blessing then, have u ever been in prison, i myself have not, but i know a couple people that have, alright, they all say they would rather die then spend life in there, think about it, spendin the rest of your life with nothing to look foward to, just kickin it in a federal cage like a fuckin animal, fuck all that, at least now if he truely changed (i have no reason to judge him so ill leave it at this) hes in a much better place you know.
