i listen to hellaaaa r&b. i used to have a larger r&b collection than rap, but now after all the bay area rap, i dont think so anymore haha. mostly all mainstream r&b. ne-yo especially, his mixtape and album are HELLA good, jagged edge, 112, bobby valentino, usher, aaliyah, ashanti, avant, baby bash, boyz ii men, dru hill, musiq, nb ridaz, r kellz, trey songz..

i listen to some rock once in awhile. when i chill with my white friends, they listen to my bay mix i give them, but usually rock. as with the thread-starter, i just DLed hella all-american rejects. i was kinda like uhhh at first cause of their name, but they're pretty good, and their latest album's good. other rock bands i like are death cab for cutie, nice calming music, and a few howie day songs. girly bands like dashboard and yellowcard are catchy too.
i haaate the screaming songs, like by hawthorne heights. they sound alright at first, until they start screaming their lungs out.. ahhhh

i dont undastand the big deal w/ reggae. just dont do it for me. I used to knock hella korn, limp bizkit, slipknot. I listen to hella Oldies, Stylistics especially. Timeless music right there, also 50's music in the doo wop days, buddy holly, richie valenz, etc. some good shit right there, when u had to have talent to make it big.

Alt Rock, Ambient, Black Metal, Breakbeat, Bubblegum Pop, Country, Dark Ambient, Dark Wave, Death Metal, Death Rock, Doom Metal, EBM, Electropop, Electrogoth, Emo, Futurepop, Gabba, GOA, Goregrind, Gothabilly, Gothic metal, Gothic rock, Grindcore, Happy Hardcore, Hardcore, Horror Punk, Horrorcore, IDM, Industrial, J-Pop, J-Rock(Though it's really Glam Rock), New-Wave, Nu-Metal, Pop Punk, Post-Punk, Psychobilly, Punk rock, Rap, Screamo, Speedcore, Symphonic Metal, Synthpop, and Trip-Hop.

1975-1985 was the best years for music :).
