So I'm lookin' up different jobs... & I'm wonderin', what fields are real paying good to have you living comfortably in California?? I'm interested in Advertising Account Executive (I'm still in highschool) & it's looking like it pays real good. Besides the regular - Doctor, Lawyer, Engineers, etc. what is paying good to have you living good in Cali? Cuzz I rather live in a ga'damn box before I ever move out of California.

you're skipping ahead man - without a good education you can forget about finding a decent job in any of those fields. focus on going to college and getting a degree and then worry about specific careers.

i looked into a radiology program and i have to go to school for 28 months, full time.

how is that even fucking possible in a real life situation

i have to work or i dont eat

what am i supposed to not sleep? get off work at 4pm, go to school for 6 hours, then start that shit over at 8am?

i honestly think if i didnt have a kid, that type of schedule would make me contemplate escapism via razor blade.

and whats funny is that radiology program starts off at the same amount per month that i get paid now with no college degree (but years of college credit none the less)

i need to wake up at 3am more often and sell rocks

i just paid off my loan...dunno if im even up for a second one...

the cost of living is high out here and you need a education to really get a good paying job. unless u got a lot of hustle about yourself en u gonna start up your own shit, u might wanna fuck with community college while workin also so u can get further later. the medical field is a coo route cuz shit, people always gonna need doctors.

Think about going to school a little while before you go and make a career choice, kids usually think they are pretty wise out of highschool but honestly yall youngsters dont know jack about the real world.

Plus you dont just get ad exec jobs fresh out of school you have to work up to that. Definatly go to school when you are young though, I'm learning that shit the hard way now that i'm almost 30 and have to go back. See instead of school I went to the military which is fine but I decided to leave to go to school that I graduated from but my degree is in kind of a bullshit field so now I'm going to have to go back or continue to work these wack deskjobs for a check.

Its alot harder to go back when your grown up and you have a fuck load of bills

i couldnt imagine working full time and going to school full time.

you need some sort of loan or financial aid.

i worked at wells fargo when in art school and honestly having to work 30-35 hours a week put a big ass damper on my school work/studying

thats pretty much why i dropped out of school, i couldnt take it...bills started piling up and college wasnt doing shit in the present sense to help me survive.

if i go back to college in the next 1-3 years i will not be working, or im gonna have to take one or two classes and not a full course.

exactly

and its hella hard come mid-terms and finals when you really gotta buckle down

you be gettin home thinkin about gettin your 6 hours of sleep and shit

not typing up a fucking 15 page dissertation and reading 40 pages for monday

and that said i got homies with majors that work at staples

jobs dont just come to you, you still gotta hustle to get em and if you aint got that hustle and swager about you that the employers like, then you still might not be able to get a good job

yup....in college you'll figure out what you want to pursue as a career. I
bet you'll even switch majors while in you're in college like myself and many other students. Being happy with your career/job is just as important as how much money you'll be making.

In this part of Cali (Central Cali 831) there are too many companies closing. I'm certified in electronics and been doing that for years, but even that is a dying breed out here. Other than your typical high paying jobs, there is nothing out here.

i couldnt imagine working full time and going to school full time.

This past Spring I took 11 hours and worked fulltime with a pasrt time gig.
Right now in Summer I am taking 9 hours and working fulltime.
This Fall I am taking 12 hours...

its what seperates Men from the Mice.

okay, either i dont know what the fuck your talking about or you dont know what the fuck youre talking about.

youre telling me, you go to work for 8 hours, and 11 hours of school in the same day?

dunno bro, i think seperating the men from mice would be more like...bieng successful without the slaving of 85% of your daily life

not to look down on it or whatever

that just aint for me i guess
