Im saying Men do what they gotta do to get what they want. Others bitch about it and wish they could.

So, it is you that does not know what I am talking about. Have you ever been to college? (no pun intended) but if you have, then you would know that your hours you take in college are based off of how many hours you spend during the week.

So if I am taking 11 hours of college credit, then it is 11 hours during the week. Which is difficult for an average boy.

BTW...I am studying Civil engineering. Hardly your Arts degree.

It all depends on how "hard" you studying. Shit I can go to school for 20 hours and not care about it with barely passing grades, but I want to make A's. So I devote a lot of time out of school to do that.

If you can do that and come back and say "that aint bad"....then good for you. Becuase it is difficult, trust me.

i didnt spend my time in college paying attention.
too bad.

I hope I dont die either, but we'll see. If I do, ay atleast I went out trying.
Animation is a cool degree. Is the market big in that area?

I was working full time doing 2 classes aday back in college and only reason i stopped going was i wanted to live like a dumbass and party and get paid ..2 hours a day to me aint that big of a deal when i want something.. but i havent done it trying to support a family so we will see...

but seriously it sounded like 11 hours a day and i thought ok if he's doing that then he is crazy determined . but when it went from 11 a day to 11 a week. didnt seem that bad after..

yeah ecose, thats what i thought. 11 hours a day + 8 hours of work + one hour to eat something and take a shower = 4 hours of sleep a day if you can sleep. 11 a week aint bad..but that regimen would be insane.

JL, Well im looking into vectoring movies as well as the cartoon industry/video game industry.. I have a cousin working for paramount whos pretty successful in my field so i sort of have a hookup for a job when i finish.

i figure adding animation along with illustration would be a good idea for the field.

art school is real expensive though so i gotta get my finances in order before i even think about going back, and the reason why i didnt pay attention as much in college as you might have is because it dosent take as much attention..it takes dedication and motivation but your teacher is merely an artist like you...yknow?.if youre an artist already, you sort of know what to do. i guess theres two different types in art school, the ones that have been artists all their lives and the ones that think art would be a "fun major"..

Ecose and Gas One....

Do what you do and get it done. I started school when I was 19 and got 20 credits and quit. I was young and stupid and married and had a kid and everything just got to me. But now at 26 I am highly determined and I dont plan on stopping until I am done. I am still married with akid and all that, but my attitude is different.

I wish both of you luck and I dont down talk anyone is school because this shit is hard, especially if you working at the same time.

1 hour of college credit is like 45 mins of homework. So you do the math on my hours.

Thats why I say it is hard.

heavy machine operator(cranes, earthmovers, bulldozers etc etc.).....it's labor intensive(as an apprentice), but as you work your way up to Journeyman level your pay goes up(the more hours you work the more your raise goes up after so many hours.). i got a homie who paves highways, freeways, and bridges and comes home with $1,600(after taxes) every WEEK!
He's been out of college for 2 years and is doing it big, BUT he has an uncle that hooked him up. He skipped the apprentice phase and went into a journeyman level position(lucky bastard).

truck drivers get paid BANK!!! i got 3 uncles that are truck drivers and they are doing well off.

Mechanics get paid well too, especially heavy equipment mechanics. I got an uncle out in Stockton who is doin just fine doing what he loves to do, which is fix things.

i got an aquaintance(sp) working for Lawrance Livermore Lab who is making $23 as a janitor!

Working for the city or school pay well.

Welders get paid well(depends in the field you're in).

or you can wait 7 years until your record is clean and get a government job like me

more than likely by the time this jobs done im just going to apply for government bullshit only, bieng that im the most anti-government person out there and this is my way of sticking it to the man

doing nothing and getting paid for it

every government job ive had paid 18 and up, thats not much for me now but when i was a little younger, it was great.

but my best advice would be to go to school and stick with it. don't let girls, your homies, or peer pressure in general detour you from achieving what you want to achieve in life.

THe parties will never end, there's so many girls out there is ridiculous, and those homies you kickin now will probably won't be there by the time you make it big.

one can accomplish many things in life if they set their priorities straight and are determined to do the damn thing.

you usually dont need classes because theyll be regular jobs, like data entry or administrative shit or whatever.. the only thing hard about government jobs is you have to pass a background check, so for a while i just couldnt get one.

your best bet if youre interested is to look on goverment employment websites and attempt to find openings that way

i found the job on caljobs, which is a government website for employment...all the jobs aint govmt but some are, you just gotta look.

also id suggest going to the website of your city, almost every city has a website...and you can find jobs to work for the city that way, they get paid well too and the jobs usually have good senority.

ive been working where im at for a year now and its definately my best job so far

before this though i was trying to get a federal clearance and they pulled up my fucking record from waaay back yonder and then said that i was under oath and if i lied i could go to jail for it, they hired a personal detective to watch me and shit during that time..when i saw how much the feds were involved with that process i jumped ship. it was on some take pictures of you from a car and send you a picture of yourself smoking a blunt type shit.

U cant go wrong fuckin wit produce in cali. especially here in the 831 (central cali). if u can get ur foot in the door at a young age, there is a lot of opportunity to move up. Im working in sales right now for a big produce company, and this is the best paying job I've ever had. And hella room to advance and get paid more. The guys in this office all clear 6 figures. I dont make nearly that much now, but in a few years the opportunity is def there. and in my opinion, that's great money to be making with no college degree.

I have my eyes set on a Government Job.

I know I can get it once I am done. Matter of fact, I got denied the position because I did not have the paper, but I had the experience. So thats why I forced myself back into school.

Cant wait till Im done.
