Seriously speaking....what is your definition of a playa?

is it someone who's has a bunch of bitches..

is it someone who doesn't work yet is able to live off a girl??

Is it someone who deals dope??

I've heard this word used over and over and over again but what does it mean?

to me.....I think it's it fits in the same category as...hustler, pimp, mac, baller, etc.....

playa to me = someone who can do virtually anything with little or no help and do it well...especially in this rap business or music over all. you have your hands into everything and your always on your "a" game makin moves....that's a playa to me....toss in a few females along the way if you so please. (btw - this can be applied to someone who is on their p's & q's in life in general too)

I though you knew....all it takes is some 20's and rap album to be a "playa" nowadays.You could be livin wit moms still but you rollin on Dubbs....So what if your 27 and never had a job and you got 3 baby mamas hawkin you for child support and another on the way, shit you got some gold front and a Navi that ya mama pay for every month sittin on them dubbs that you got for ya birthday....
Oh yeah ya CD is finna come out next week too, and you got all the hot artists on it.....(even though moms paid for those features and you only on 4 songs outta 19) but ya face is on the cover holding a chrome AK and smokin a blunt with helicopters over you
and a list of features plastered all over the cover ...and you sportin the Iced Out watch from the back of the source mag, wit ya silveryplastic chain hangin down to ya knees

Just waitin till mom gets paid so you could get that candy paint job on the Navi

A Playa is a playa, depends on the game you play. Now, the word is totally derived from the "Player", which is by definition one who plays women, in that game.

A Playa doesn't live off other folks, doesn't get paid by bitches or by anybody else for that matter, those are TRICKS. That's the same shit as a woman in it for a dudes cash, a TRICK, a BITCH, not a playa.

But yea, a playa is somebody who plays his chosen game and does it wisely and well. Play the game of life, play broads, etc. etc.
