they had an article on independent bay area newspaper about all the fucked up shit goin on in kmel and how big von fucked up alot of bay artist. They talked about how the only reason kmel started playin bay shit back in 2002-2006 was because of this other small ass radio station ( i dont remember if it was pirate or not ) that was playing all these bay rappers and started gettin high ratings through out the bay because of it.. Imma go look for that article online..

But 92.7 didnt start till 2004 .

Big Von Had freestyle battles in 2002-2003 , On The Block atarted in 2003 too . In 2004 , the Chop Shop mixshow got famous AND everybody was on Scotty Fox nutz . Dre died and KMEL played him hellah . In 2005 Mistah F.A.B. blew up on KMEL . In 2006 Mistah F.A.B. wanted a radio show on Wild 94.9 and then Von got all bitchy and stoped playing bay artist . I think Mistah F.A.B. is one of the BIG reasons KMEL stopped playing bay music (NO DISRESPECT) . Thats Jus Me .

Sana G got rehired. Back on the air May 19. The replacement KMEL hired to replace Sana, Deja Vu, lasted less than a week and the response was so bad they decided the old way was better. No joking.
