What dont you like about the South Bay scene?

Its the south bay.
edit: Nah, really, its just that i dont see a solid grouping of artists that have come out of there. I know a few south bay artists, but i havent really heard of any that established their music with a distinct south bay sound. Its hard to compete with frisco (west bay), oakland (east bay), and vallejo (north/east) bay, and its not that i dont give south bay rappers a chance, its just that i dont hear much from that area, especially since my focus is on other areas.

mann i like those South Bay artists such Assassin, Mr. 21, Gangsta Reese, C Locs, Nsanity and especially Gato Mas Loco. the thing is most their beats sound the same (except Assassin, the man is a genius). if they got a few different producers to lace beats that would be koo.. and how it was mentioned already not too many people like the gang bangin shit anymore..

weather its true or not, the rest of the bay doesnt view san jo as hood, but SOME artists try to make it seem that way. takes away from the credibility. its hard to rap about your struggle when you got the murder capitals of oakland, richmond and frisco surrounding you. i think south bay artists that just keep it 100 and not overdo things will be able to shine. its talent out there, and the cats who keep it real are gonna win

i lived in the southbay fo about 2 years, its a different scene. i think folks jus don't kno the real get down in places like e.s.j / e.p.a n shit. . i mean let's be honest the majority of santa clara county / s j is pretty damn nice, low crime yada yada.. no matter how ignorant it maysound.. majority of peoples see it that way and that actually may affect why folks don't fuk with the music comin out that way. jus my opinion. but also, the biggest names the past few years have been hoodstarz n trax comin out that way, i duno the real reason but the sound is kinda different too if u compare it to the city or town shit.
Doodie put it perfect, how you gonna have the most gang banging rappers, yet be the safest large city in the US. They need to find a mold that fits them, and not try to fit in the Oakland, Frisco, Richmond, Vallejo catagory.
