since I'm lookin foward to hear and see more rappers embrace their creativity and knowledge along with spreading meaningful messages which certain people can relate to everyday in their lives......
Honestly, I'm sooo fed up with all the nonsense that's been portrayed in hip-hop/rap nowadays and it seems like the reel intelligent knowledgable rappers don't exist and somehow can't likely cuz they wanna keep it ghetto, thugged out, flauntin their swagger which it's completely arrogant and ignorant to me!!
That's all bad and they will never grow up to be reel authentic genuine gentlemen...... "smh" sad sad sad.........

San Quinn seems to have a real solid work ethic, puts out hella albums. Helps out alot of people by being featured on hella albums and its all quality. Plus hes speaks the truth and it isn't always the I'm a big time hustler pushing coke raps you get from alot of the dudes nowadays. Hes got a good message in alot of his stuff at the same time keeping it grimey. One of my favorite rappers too easily in my top 5. Hes one of the ones who shoulda blew up nationwide years ago[/QUOT

For a long time it's been E-40 and Mac Dre, because I grew up listening to them. I remember when they were just starting out in the late 80's. I remember buying their first releases on wax, EP records. Young Black Brotha and Down & Dirty (OG Version) were the shit back in the day.

I would also say cats like Playa Jay Tee, Messy Marv and a few others.

I have a lot of respect for Kontac for putting that "Stay in School" project together which helps the youth. Also, all the artists that appeared on that project who basically worked for free.
