Well, it's hard to pick JUST one definitive CD--but out of that list, if forced to pick one, it'd be RBL's RUTHLESS BY LAW.
Why? Well, IMHO, that CD represents just about all "angles" of the game--problems with keeping the cops off your tail ("Bluebird"), situations where you don't want to off someone, but it's the law of the street ("Listen To My Creep", "I Got My Nine", "M.N.O.H.P."), just having fun cruisin' the town ("Bounce To This"), gettin' high ("Pass Me The Zigg Zaggs", "Smoke A Blunt"--both songs work just as well if you're drunk, too), dealin' with those who hate you now 'cause you're a mini-celeb ("Still Ain't Learned"), shakin' off hoodrats ("Dedication"), an acknowledgment of the musical foundation of this gangsta shit ("Funkdafied"), a little old school boasting just for fun ("Feels Good To Be A Gangsta", "The Sound"), some comedy (the skit after "Livin' That Life") and finally, a bit of consciousness (Herm's Outro and "Livin' That Life", which takes on a "I'm in this lifestyle, but I'm not proud of it" tone).
I'm biased, of course, because I just have good memories of shit I did while playing this CD back in '94/'95 (and to be real, I STILL play it quite a bit)! You could probably take any of the CDs listed in the poll and play the same game that I just did, and you'd come up with some interesting results, too. PEACE!
