Oregon State at Cincinnati
Cincinatti was close to a bowl game last year and is always scrappy, however Bernard may be too much for the defense to handle
Miami (FL) at #5 Oklahoma
Unlike FSU, Miami looked improved in their opener; however, OU has found a NEW RB in Murry...the U is gonna have to stop him if they want a chance at winning.
#16 Nebraska at Wake Forest
Nebraska is now in its 3rd year with the new offense and they will test it against the defending ACC champs WF, whom got beat by a promising BC team last week. In their defense, WF did lose Skinner, the starting QB and cattlist of the team. It will have to be a gutsy perfromance if they want to pull off the win.
North Carolina State at Boston College
O'Brien will make his way BACK to BC to play his former team. That being said, BC has too much talent for NCST to handle, especially with Matt Ryan under center who is a Hiesman hopeful (he threw for over 400 yards agaisnt WF last week).
#22 Boise State at Washington
This appears to be a fresh and improved UW team with the frosh Jake "Montlake Jake" Locker now comanding the team. BSU has never beat a Pac-10 team on the road, but Ian Johnson looks to put an end to that streak.
Oregon at Michigan
Redemption? Well, Oregon is App St, but DIV 1 competition...which means Lloyd Carr better have been doing 2-a-days all week to prepare for the same offense that shocked them last week.
UAB at Florida State
FSU played one of the worst halves of CFB in their history last week, but looked much, much better the 2nd half; too little too late as the saying goes. They look to bounce back against a UAB team that got inhiliated last week.
Cal Poly at Idaho
I only put this game up becuase it may be the only game Idaho wins this year, even though they "held" USC to only 38 points last week.
Notre Dame at #14 Penn State
Notre Dame looks completely lost and Penn State looks to pounce on that weakness at QB...or QB's as it would. Expect ND to slide even further after this game. ND may have a losing record for the first time ina very long time come the end of the year.
Brigham Young at #13 UCLA
BYU is always a tricky team to play with the the wichbone offens they run. THis being the case, expect the Bruins to be on their toes.
#19 TCU at #7 Texas
TCU has been lingering around the top 25 for a few years now and are a stout little contender; they are no slouch. Texas is Texas and will be playing behind their tough, home crowd, even though they struggled against lonesome Arkansas St. of mid-major and non-BCS conference Sun Belt.
South Florida at #17 Auburn
Auburn escaped last week from a stingy KSU defense and won the game with theirs. That being the case, the offense looked shaky at best with Cox at QB. USF isa team on the rise and have a fast and furious defense, one that may be better than KSU's.
Game of The Week
#9 Virginia Tech at #2 LSU
VT looked somewhat dumbfounded on offense last week, but their defense was superb. If they want to beat a hungry LSU team, that offense is going to have to step it up big time.
