I think wit the right beats and mastering alotta rappers can step their game up!!! Sometimes you gotta recreate your style and master your style!! Me personally i think I'm waaaaay better then what I was cause I take it more serious now and I stay consistant with my recording and dropping projects!!! Practice makes perfect but I still got alot to learn and long as I focus I'll get better!!
That's it right there. That's why I can't say Jacka or Yuk is "washed up" when they're putting out some of the best music. People on here don't like being ojbective tho they always argue with how they PERSONALLY feel about a certain rapper. Joe Buddens was right when he said rap/hip hop fans are fickle..

IMO being washed up is when a rapper becomes a shell of what he used to be. Has pretty much peaked in his career and can't quite get back to where he was skillwise. Dropping one or two weak albums don't mean that said artist is washed up.

The Jacka is washed up with his weak beats and his voice sounds different from what he sounded like in the late 90's/early 2000's.

How's The Jacka washed up?

He be doing shows almost every weekend ...

do washed up bay rappers do shows along with Wu Tang?...I don't think so!

The Jack is nowhere near being labeled as a washed up rapper IMO..

his delivery is not on point no more.

I been bumpin his music since 1996 when he first appeared on the Sac Sin compilation, and his new style isn't the same as back then and the first Mob Figaz cd and first solo he was dope, but now he switched up his flowz.

I feel what you saying..but I'm sure most artist who are still relevant in the rap game have grown up...can't expect them to rap or sound the same as before...

Jacka is still Jacka. Raps about the same topics (dope, women, guns) and he raps about them well. His voice changed yeah. Everyone's voice changes. I believe Husalah and Jacka was 16, 17, or something like that when they was recording that C-Bo's Mob Figaz stuff and Jacka was like 15 or 16 when he was Recording that Fatal Mentality (Sac Sin years) stuff.

Go back and listen to the C-Bo's Mob Figaz album or the first Self Titled Jacka cd. Jacka always rapped with a slight off pattern style and he always has ended bars with words that don't rhyme with the bar before it, or cuts bars short. THAT IS JACKA. THAT IS THE JACKA STYLE.

Jack is doing it on a larger level then anyone else in the California Bay Area with maybe the exception of E-40. Jacka does shows with Large Gold and Platinum artists (some former Gold and Platinum artists), Major Label artists, and he gets the best venues of any Bay Area artist.

Of rappers from the years of 1999 to Present what Bay Area artist is more known out of the State of California then Jacka? What Bay Area artist is sought after for more shows out of the State of California then Jacka?

Nicky isn't known by out of state by "MAINSTREAM" artists. They could care less about Andre' Nickatina. They do care to have Jacka on their show dates though.

Nicky does a lot of ummmm well to do areas though out of state, and College towns. I have done many shows with Nicky. Mateal in Humboldt was excellent money in 2006. Ask Cool Nutz (from Portland) he was there with a table getting his independent cheddar.

^^^I agree. Dude posted that old Jacka track and said he was "more lyrical" his lyrical ability is the same then as it is now. If anything his flow and ability to ride a beat has gotten a little sharper. That's about all that's changed as far as his style goes. Same with Yuk tho his albums arn't anywhere near as good as what he used to put out but he can still rap his ass off.

And LOL@People bringing up B-Legit and Richie Rich as if they were ever meant to be super lyrical rappers in the first place. Those guys are more about style/flow and saying shit that people can relate too in the same way Too Short and various other old school bay rappers do. I'd rather listen to B-Legit than some superlyrical wierdo rap about nothing...
