lol 3videnc3 ignore tony, he thinks he knows all

as much of a J rich fan i am, i agree that we will be better without him, there is no doubt that he could have helped up this year, but along with that, he would have stunted Ellis growth, maybe if he was in Pietrus position, to coming off the bench, but he doesnt deserve that, he needs to be starting and shining, hes a great player

if we didnt have to sign/spend hella cash on ellis/davis/biedrins, id be pissed we got rid of him. but over the long run its gonna help the team (at least i think). they DEFINITELY gotta make some moves in free agency though. they gotta address rebounding, add another scorer, etc

^^^^y'all don't need another scorer, everyone on ur damn team has the capability to be a go to guy and a high scorer. if i was the owner of the dubs i would drop one of the main scorers to get a shutdown defender and then in the draft go for a big man with blocking/ rebounding capabilities. that would make ur team pretty complete.

Be quiet Shree you Castro tranny.

3vid3nc3 I think you're missing the point. I am not saying Ellis is just a "bench" player. Ellis is deep... but they should have kept J-Rich so they could bring Ellis off of the bench for fire power. That's not hard to understand. That's what's wrong with the Warriors. They start off hot in the beginning of the game and then fade as the game goes on. That's because they have a weak bench. The better teams in the NBA have deeper benches. Just because you bring a guy off of the bench doesn't mean he's a bench player it means you're bringing instant energy and another scoring option for your opponent to deal with. Ellis helped the Warriors more when he came off of the bench and into the line-up for that 3rd guard that Nellie likes to use when he plays "small ball".

I see what your sayin...I think your missin my point tho. ELLIS IS NOT A BENCH PLAYER PERIOD. He has no business coming off the bench because he is the Warriors best scoring threat. Theres no way they should hault his developement and have him come off the bench just because of J-Rich. Ellis will be a better NBA player and keeping J-Rich would hurt the Warriors chances of keeping Ellis in the future. Like I said Monta>>>>>>>>>>J-Rich. Theres not much more that needs to be said

Agreed. Monta is going to be something special in this league, if he already isnt. He can score at will it seems and is as quick as a cat. Just think, if he can extend his range jump shooting wise consistantly, i could see him in the top 5 in scoring every year.

I was shocked and kinda mad when I found out we traded J-Rich.. But it was a needed move to keep these players and for Monta to develop.. 3VID3NC3 is speakin the truth.

Captain Jack called out the bench ... and Mickael Pietrus
From Janny Hu in Denver.

Again, I could only get some of this into Sunday's paper, but Stephen Jackson made some pretty critical -- and spot-on -- remarks after the Nuggets loss that deserve highlighting.

First, about the need for someone outside the Warriors' go-to trio to contribute:

"We got to get somebody that you don't expect to show up to show up some nights. Teams are really starting to play us on our guys. They want to take away my quick three-pointers ... they try to take Monta's left away.

"We need somebody on the bench to get us going, to help us these last couple of games, because that's what we had last year. We had Matt (Barnes) playing well, (Mickael Pietrus) playing well, and we needed that. And that's what we need now."

And second, about how much harder that is with Pietrus' continued injury absence:

"Hopefully he sucks it up and comes back and thinks about the team and fights the injury a little for us. But at the same time, we got to go with what we got, and I feel confident enough that we can get the job done."

Bottom line? Pietrus is a notoriously slow healer, and that doesn't exactly stack up well when Jack has played hurt most of the year, Baron Davis has made it through 72 games and counting, and Andris Biedrins only missed six after having his appendix removed.

The Warriors aren't expecting Pietrus to play tonight, though he will be re-evaluated before the Mavs game. If he doesn't go, that will be the fourth straight game he sits out, and it won't exactly help his standing with his teammates.

Think of it this way: The Warriors are trying to make the same kind of finishing push as last season ... only they don't have Jason Richardson, they don't really have Barnes, and they may or may not have Pietrus. That's a tough, tough task.

I'll take J-Rich over monte all damn day, J-Rich shoots 3's a hell of a lot better, always dunks if he has a chance instead of doing these crazy layups even though monte do be making a lot of them. J-Rich has way better size, its not even close, J-Rich can create his own shot a lot better. Probably the stupidest trade the Warriors have made since trading Mitch Richmond for Billy Owens. And it wasnt a much needed trade to develop Monte, the Warriors would have been a hell of a lot deeper if they had both players and Monte still would have been getting a lot of playing time cuz the Warriors do not have a deep bench therefore baron, monte, J-Rich would have been sub eachother out and i really think that would have helped them not get exhausted by the end of the game.

furthermore noone should ever speak on J-Rich in a bad way, he was Mr. Warrior, yeah baron and Jack were the captains last year but J-Rich fit into that fucking offense in the 2nd half of the season perfectly.

2 guards come a dime a dozen thats why J-Rich was expendable. You can get one from the draft, D-League or waivers easily, while skilled PGs & Centers are hard to come by. If the Magic somehow proposed Dwight for Monta, I'd take it in an instant
If the Warriors were going to trade J-Rich they should have at least gotten someone that could help play defense like a big man that could block shots. What they did get in return for trading J-Rich? And how is he helping?

uhhh.. think about it.. Monta wouldn't be playing at the level he's playing now. Sure it woulda been good this season, but hat happens in the offseason? No money for Ellis and Biedrins.. so they're gone, no Brandon Wright.. The move was the right one.. besides Monta is still getting better.. The things he lacks in are things he learn.. But what he already has are things you can't teach. Therefore Monta > J-Rich.

yeah, but it was old news. Things have been straightened out since then as Pietrus played two games after the injury. I just skimmed through your post as most the time what you type is garbage lol

your credibility has ALWAYS been suspect
The point is... Jackson (in the article) asked for help off of the bench? Are they getting it (evidence from last night's game)? That's why the article was posted. You are a bit slow...
