LOL J-Rich helped for sure Im not denying that. But the team was never shit when we relied on him and never got over the hump til we got Jackson and Harrington. I loved J-Rich when he was a Warrior but the trade was good for the W's cuz..
-Got rid of J-Rich's contract to free salary to resign Ellis/Beans/Baron(?)
-Gave more time for Ellis to develope as a 2 gaurd. He's far better then a bench player like your suggesting
-J-Rich was at his prime, he wasn't gonna get any better..Mullin pulled a Billy Beane and got as much as he could for him at his peak banking on young talent to come through in the future..
-Brandan Wright
-We were overloaded with gaurds and someone needed to go..J-Rich was the most logical choice because he had good trade value and his contract would keep the Warriors from resigning more important pieces for the future.
-J-Rich had a great work ethic and heart but his skills lack in areas. His D isn't great, his ball handling sucks, he's never been able to shoot free throws and he can't create his own shot consistantly.
-Once again Brandan Wright...the dude is gonna be solid and give the W's what they need once he gets more PT.
The team would be better with J-Rich right now...but unfortunetly this is also the hardest year ever in the western conference..last year it only took 42 wins to make the 8th seed. If were that easy this year we wouldn't be having this conversation. The only players I care about seeing in a Warriors uni next year are Monta, Beans and Wright.
