Is the card plugged all the way into the motherboard or are there any extra plugs that need to go into the vid card? Other than uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, I don't know what to say. That is odd.

just found this for your card...

power cord should hook up to the power supply somehow....might check that..

ok check this out, i opened up my computer and i noticed a lil white connector with 4 lil prongs (male connector) coming off my video card, and i looked at my dvd drive and it has 3 black and yellow cords with a 4 hole (female) that will fit right onto the video card and it is the exact length to connect to the video card, but i dont wanna hook this up and fuck up my computer... so i was thinkin maybe this is the power cord? or adapter?

im still having problems when i boot my computer, sometimes it wont detect my drivers, i uninstalled em 3 times and reinstalled em already.

Does your computer have a 400-watt power supply?? You need a newer power supply to power the latest generation of video cards.

Are you talking about the plug in the picture off to the right (It says P5)???

If so, those cables come from your power supply, which is at the top of your tower and has a fan in the back. It has a main cord that hooks up to your motherboard, then cords for hard drives and cd-roms. If your video cord needs power then you'll probably need to use one of the cords from the power supply also.

If there are no extra cords, then you can pull out the power supply and put a new one in there. I've seen them in computer stores for as little as $14, but I also saw one in Best Buy for like $45.. They just overprice some of their shit.

You can put in the cord from your dvd player, but you won't be able to use your dvd drive anymore. You can probably find one of those cables at the store, and that would fix your problem.

I don't know what to tell you man.. Call NewEgg or PowerColor. The instructions didn't mention any steps that you might have missed, or couldn't figure out how to do? Was your previous card an AGP, or onboard, or PCI??? Is this error inside of Windows, or the black screens when the computer first turns on?

i dont have a power supply........ as for the "error" its as soon as u turn the computer on, it just flashes read and says plug in ur power cord (which there sint one, besides that lil plug coming off the card) but if i turn it of and turn it back on it works fine........ my last card was an 9600 xe AGP 128mb. my new card is a X700 Agp 256mb DDR2 with 128 MB interface

ima try and use that plug that isnt pluged injto anything and see what it does tomorrow....

Unless you have some magical computer that doesn't use power you have a power supply. That plug (power cord) that isn't connected to anything is connected to your power supply on the other end.
