Brandon Roy:

19.4 ppg
4.4 reb
5.6 ast
.93 stl
.18 blk
1.9 to
2.92 ast/to

Baron Davis:

22.3 ppg
4.9 reb
8.1 ast
2.5 stl
.57 blk
2.7 to
2.98 ast/to

Numbers speak for themselves on who I would put in the game, if it really was between these two.

Roy is an upcoming player but Baron is on another level, imo. He's a proven player.

Hell, if they snub Davis then i know he'll use that as motivation down the stretch when it really counts.

Baron has proven he is worthy of a spot. look what he did in the playoffs against dallas and utah, he resurrected this franchise and is top 5 PG.

Roy hasnt done anything at the nba level other then win rookie of the year, in a year with no competition. he is good but his team was just super hot for a month or 2.

id defiently take baron over roy for the all star game.

The coaches vote right? If they have any sort of conscience, they'll vote for Baron. Especially since he's leading the league in steals and leads a bunch of categories as far as guards go, and that he's been snubbed since being traded from the hornets. Plus he hits so many clutch shots and doesn't shy away from putting the game in his hands when it counts.

Not taking anything away from Roy though. He's been tearin it up and has many ASG's ahead in his future.

The reason I said what I said is because Portland wasn't expected to do anything this year and look at where they are in a very competitive Western Conference.

The Blazers may fade down the stretch, but currently they're percentage points better than the Warriors.

You never know how the coaches look at this stuff. I've heard stories of coaches in the All-Star games playing go to guys (of other teams) a lot of minutes during the All-Star Game because they knew they had to play against them in the next couple of days. It isn't always as simple as who deserves the spot

lol, number whore huh????

numbers don't tell the whole story.

If bradon wanted to put up 22 a game he could, but he actually has a DEEP bench, to pick it up when he doesn't need to..

If diddy makes it over roy, Im not gonna frown about the pick, because it's a solid pick either way.... a little disappointed... yeah, probably...

LOL

I put them up because, when I initially made the thread, I didn't know who I'd cast if I had the chance to. I did some research, and by numbers alone, that's how I made my pick. I don't watch Portland or Golden State every night, so I don't get to see them play much. I know all about Davis, but Roy's still coming up in the league, and by what I've seen...Davis gets the pick.

And it isn't just POINTS Davis has the advantage in, if you want to be a little fuckhead about it. LOL jk

But really, like I read earlier; Roy has plenty of All-Star years ahead of him, anyways...let the OLD Davis play. LOL

numbers is all the allstar game is. if u want a MVP vote or shit like that then theres alot more than numbers but the allstar game is to entertain not to give it to someone who has less in everything. they both are very hard workers and are very importnat to there team. so with all the things that players need where stats dont show, both of em have so then u look at stats since they got the same heart and the stats got diddy better. this is why i feel diddy is better
