C'MON ODY-SICC, to an average american, of course it's far fetch'd to think Halloween does anything bad. I think it does, if you participate in it, It's paying Homage to Samhein, aka Devil in Disguise. Believe me, this is probably the best time demon conjurers celebrate. Instead of having fun, why not prepare of the Day of Atonement, I have failed to pave a way for the Lord, that's why I've been slow in what I want to accomplish.

Also beliving in anything other than Christ being God is giving homage to the devil. And that goes on year round with the compliance of many christians. I believe you can throw on a mask with some kids go out and take gifts from people and just have a good time (still carrying the christian belief). To me its an American Holiday, rather than a Samhein holiday. If samhein told his followers to throw on a mask and go recieve candy from your neighbors i'll quit, but if he said go worship the devil, i'm not even going to worry about it cuz thats not what i'm doing. The motive of my heart is all that matters to God. The knowledge that comes from samhein is a false knowledge and to live by it in anyway is being decieved.

Christmas, Easter the false observation of it, St. Patrick's Day, and Valentine's Day.

Easter is an american holiday originally believed to be the celebration of The Ressurection of Yeshua, but yet Why would Christians let their Children go on easter egg hunts, paganisms. My family allow the little kids to do that, If I had a child, I'd bring them elsewhere aside from my house so he'll be away from that.

But are you not Partaking in the events or holidays it's self? The wearing of the masks are to honor the goddesses of Samhein, just to let you know. I'm not calling you a dualist Christian, but I think you should understand this bro.

True, but would you say the same for me if I went to an Indian Reservation and put on a mask with my child, and dancing and having fun, when the dance is in honor for the Thunder or Rain god? Ody-Sicc, I know you're a brother of faith, so I'm not knocking you if you think that, I just don't think even putting on a mask even if it's not an homage to the Samhein goddesses, I just think it's not right. But Knowing Jesus, his judgement is better than mine, so who am I to say not to put a mask on.

Good Read, but what denomination are you? I am of none, I rather put this on Ephesians 6:13-18. Those are according to Catholics, and Jesus wasn't close to being born in December, Remember in the old days 12 hours was a full day, hence the Sabbath being from Friday Sunset to Saturday Sunset.

I know there is a chapter in the Bible where Paul says he became like a jew to win the jew over (con 9:20) I feel this justifies my intent of why i go out, but probably not for many others. The holiday itself is a worldly tradition but with me in it, it is less.

and in the bible it doesn't explain what day he is born, but maybe threw astrology by the star in the sky (which i've read was saturn). but scientist aren't always right. what it does have in there is his birth what we should celebrate maybe not a certain day but all the time.

I was raised Catholic and go to a catholic church but i'm not closed to just going there. to me there is no perfect church so why go to just one. i have plans with a girl i met in knoxville to go to a baptist church and i'm open to going to really any church. I've read that saints were part of many churches not just one. but i'm not going to visit every church because i like to get good relationships with the ones i do go to (and good relationships also include a close relationship to faith if they are too far fetched for me i'll will not go long and carry a faithful relationship with them)

Free will right, we are Christians so we should not debate or dispute amongst each, rather learn more, AMEN? But we all have different views on things.

Halloween—Ancient Night of Terror

It is the last night of October. By the light of the moon, a small group of costumed figures move from house to house stating their demands with dire threats. Guarding some doorsteps are grimacing pumpkin heads glowing with burning candles—made from human fat. Other doors drip with human blood. It is the night of Samhain, Celtic lord of the dead.

Perhaps in no other “Christianized” celebration does Satan so blatantly honor himself and memorialize his war dead. The writer J. Garnier suggests that celebrations of suffering and death can be traced back to the ancient destruction of all of his human followers, as well as the hybrid sons of fallen angels, at the time of the Flood. Cultures the world over have festivals for the dead, “held by all on or about the very day on which, according to the Mosaic account, the Deluge took place, viz., the seventeenth day of the second month—the month nearly corresponding with our November.”—The Worship of the Dead, by J. Garnier.

The Druids were no exception. On October 31, Samhain was said to release the spirits of the dead to mingle with the living. Druids roamed the streets with lanterns, and on coming to a house, they demanded money as an offering for Satan.

Halloween is a major satanic ritual day. “It’s a religious holiday for the underworld, with satanists performing sacrifices and witches quietly celebrating with prayer circles or meals for the dead,” according to a USA Today article. It quoted Washington witch Bryan Jordan as saying, “[Christians] don’t realize it, but they’re celebrating our holiday with us. . . . We like it.”

Parents, do you want your children imitating these sinister rituals?

True Christians do not take part in such-like pagan holidays
