The production here isnt as on point any more. Today there is just as much people wanting to be producers as rappers. And these producers are giving up free beats to get big. And i used to totally support this and even assist with the producers getting the beats to rappers. But the production needs to be purchased. Remember back in like 96 when like 11-5, luniz, quinn, 3x crazy. The production was so sick back then. You used to get sucked in and pumped before the lyrics even came in. I miss that. we are definitely lackin in our area in that and i think the bay would blow up if we had big time production. I know it costs but the lyrics are there.

no i agree the sean t's rick rocks and easkis, and droop-e's. and cant forget trax. but like you know when i got 5 on it, shock the party or keep it on the real comes on, or garcia vegas, game recognize game, sprinkle me, i know theres more but, you just get pumped. that doesnt happen to me any more. i really think a lot of artists arent takin there time anymore. YTou know the only people i hear usin great beats these days are quinn mess and guce. I used to love hyphy, for 2 reasons it made me "go" and then it was a way for us to get the door open again. But our best music is mob music, thats when the bay is at its best!

I have to agree with y'all, the production in our area sucks. People only care if it slaps, and its to the point where anybody with Fruity Loops can call themsevles a beatmaker. Its sad and out of all the people I have met that make beats in person always have Fruity loops DEMO version lol

I be like damn, its crazy at how many people support weak ass shit. Music is all about networking, promotion and advertising. If you hear a song 10,000 times sooner or later you gone be giggin to that shit talking bout "Ey bay bay" lol nah mean. Its all a business, and the wrong people always get put on.

We got talented rappers and beatmakers out here, their just to many weak artists to actually respect a new artist on the grind.

Just stick to what you know and love. It's can get better or it can get worse, due to the fact of which most have said, it's too easy for people to becoming a "beatmaker" nowadays, not even a producers. Though I use software based music creation tools and know some people who have some talent and really get down with Fruity Loops and Reason (due to the fact that they may not be able to afford expensive harware), software has made it too easy for someone to make music (good or bad) without any real talent or knowledge of music. But it's going to be a while before it gets better so just stick to what you know until it does.
