Bay Area production is "NOT" garbage/trash as a whole. Are the beats that E-40, B-Legit, San Quinn, Messy Marv (his real albums), or Black C rap over trash? Are the beats that Keyshia Cole sings over trash?
The problem is technology. Computers, Computer Programs (Fruity Loops ruined it), Cheap Mics, Cheap Mixers and Ect. Anyone can record a cd now. Anyone can get on the Computer and Make a "BEAT". Fruity Loops and Acid Pro can be downloaded for free.
There are real producers out there. People that are truly trained like Khayree Shaheed and Rob Lo. They don't make beats, they produce songs. Drums, Basslines, Chords, Strings, fully produced tracks. There are great beat makers too. The homie Black C still to this day makes some nice beats, Mac from Mac & A.K, E.A. Ski & CMT,Tone Capone, Sam Bostic, Flaggs (Land Of Da Lost), T.C., Nick Peace, Indecent, it can go on and on.
If some young catz want to make some beats on the computer and record some vocals on the computer and send it off to get pressed up and they can get them in the stores and people actually purchase it. I wish them the best. Much Success. More then likely though they will maybe try it a second time and then they will disappear. They won't be able to afford to keep putting out music that doesn't bring them a profit back or even break them or mommy and daddy even. So they won't hurt the region on a National scale.
They say the Cream rises to the Top. And that is why we still have people like E-40, B-Legit, Dubee, Mac Mall, Black C, Andrea' Nickatina, Khayree, Tone Capone, Nick Peace, Sean T, E.A. Ski and Ect. still winning and controlling our region to this day.
Traxamillion, Rob Lo, Droop-E, Gennessee, Indecent, Maki, AP.9, Jacka, Husalah, Ryda, Fed-X, Dubb-20, Mistah F.A.B, Balance, Krypto, The Frontline, San Quinn, Lil Quinn, Messy Marv, Beeda Weeda, J-Stalin, Acktup and Ect are our Future out here, they are the ones that will carry the tourch, and look at that line up. You think that tourch will go out? Naw not that flame! We're on point!
